Hey Everybody!
Because of the Army and now the University I have not much time.
But because of improving my programming skills for the study, I improved my Popeye PS Simulator as a test object. I worked out a kernel, so it is easier to make new simulators
(Only 2,000 lines of the 10,000 lines-code is game-specific)
You can download it here: www.megaupload.com/?d=LF28ZCU9
As I saw, somebody made a Super Mario Bros. Simulator, so I don't know what to do now and which simulator I should program next^^
Maybe someone can give me some advices
I also want to take part in Aris' Database and helping improving it
I'm looking forward to be in this forum now regulary
Regards Willi
Here are the Improvements of the new Version:
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
SIMULATOR - 3.0.4.1 - MAIN CHANGES:
-Now coded with MICROSOFT VISUAL STUDIO 2010 in C# in Win 7
-Fade-in/-out when open, exit, minimize or resize the simulator (Can be disabled in the menu when it stutters)
-No more flickering because of optimizing the code
-No more asynchron sounds/sequences
-New Sprites (looks much better than before)
-You can now search for Language files
-Manual integrated
-Windows 7 style - Min- and Quit-Buttons
-Gameplay improved: Olivia, Popeye, Swordfish, Spinach and Brutus have now a better Kernel
-Now the sound resume, if the game is paused or sound is switched on (some older soundcards could crash the simulator)
-Loading screen, where you can select a language-file, when the simulator is used for the first time
-Gamescores, Alarmtime and Status of the Simulator is shown in the tooltip of the game
-Manual and About can only be fired once
-The keys have been remapped, they are now MAME cabinets compatible (Thanks to _MADRIGAL_)
-There is no chance to cheat anymore ;-)
-Italian language file added (Thanks to _MADRIGAL_)
