Just got 27.52, and it was a very good run - hardly any waiting. I was late stopping the CubeTimer, so, Mid 20s is indeed attainable! Sounds like it's time to get a spare Climber Eric! I might just have to do that.

Well I played each for about 15 minutes and I couldn't beat the DK or DKII scores, but I managed to get a nice DKJR score of 00:27.76! Eventually, I started averaging about 37 to 38 seconds on DKJR, but somehow I got under 30 seconds that one time!
EDIT: I got in the 46 sec range on DK a few times but still can't beat my best or Aris's top score.
I also started a GAME B chart for DK. It's a bit more tricky because you have those construction bars flying over head that can really slow you down.

Good call on adding Game B to the charts for DK. Definitely more difficult with the multiple I-Beams crossing overhead on the 2nd platform of the bottom screen. Just gave it a go and got 55.28. I know I can do better, so, I'm trying again before getting ready for work this morning - LOL! AC EDIT: The bar has been raised! Didn't have to pause even once, and got a time worthy of Game A - 46.35 EDIT 2: After getting that time, I thought I'd try Game A again, but could only muster 48.86, 45.87 & 45.07. Good times for sure, especially the last two, but, not enough to raise the Game A bar. On one attempt, I had a really good 1st key run. I got the key at about 8 seconds (usually I get the first key around 8.5 to 8.75 seconds) But that stupid I-Beam came out on the 2nd key run. On Game A!!! Grrr!!! Needless to say, I died trying to beat it and jump over the barrel at the same time.

I spent about half an hour speed konging with DK, and I got 00:44.76! Wasn't sure if that beat your score Aris, but I just checked and it does! Every time I play I find certain ways to jump, etc. that shave off hundredths of seconds. Now I have to get back to DKII to see if I can beat Jason's score. You better start konging again, Aris. Not sure if you'll beat 00:44.76... EDIT: I wasn't able to beat Jason's DKII score , but I added a Game B section for DKII and DKJR!

I thought I had the perfect run when I got my time, but, obviously, I was wrong. LOL! Well done for sure! AC

Just tried speedkonging again and got 00:44.95 on Game A. That's my second time under 45 seconds. You're right Aris, on the 3rd run if you wait a split second for the barrel on the bottom row to move one forward, it is in position to disappear when you appear at the bottom again for the final run. Now I'll try some Game B to see if I can beat you in that mode. EDIT: Well, I beat my old Game B score , but still a good 4+ seconds away from yours.

Not a bad start, Aris.
Some tips:
In DKII (Game A), whenever you see a Snap Jaw appear on the top screen, immediately run towards it to die if you're up there and have just unlocked a chain, because it won't disappear like all other creatures do. Ideally you can do this on two of the runs and save a lot of time.
In DKJR (Game A), don't hold down the control pad to run like you probably do in DK and DKII. Instead, press the control pad repeatedly, and as quickly as possible, to go in the direction you want to go. You probably already knew that, but I'll put it out there just in case.

I've managed the following times:
Donkey Kong II Game A - 1:8.75 [OBSOLETE - See below] Donkey Kong II Game B - 1:20.87 [OBSOLETE - See below]
Donkey Kong Jr. Game A - 32.27 [OBSOLETE - See below] Donkey Kong Jr. Game B - 41.24 [OBSOLETE - See below]
I plan to come back later and try to improve my Jr. times, but I don't think I can beat the Game A record.
Edit: I've improved my times on Donkey Kong Jr., and Donkey Kong II Game B. My new times are below.
Donkey Kong II Game B - 1:16.45 [OBSOLETE - See below]
Donkey Kong Jr. Game A - 32.01 Donkey Kong Jr. Game B - 32.97
Edit 2: I feel very stupid now; I'm so used to Donkey Kong Jr. that I never thought to try running in Donkey Kong II, until I saw the comment above mentioning it. I had to retry Donkey Kong II again, and it turns out that running noticeably helps. My most recent times are below:
Donkey Kong II Game A - 1:6.36 Donkey Kong II Game B - 1:10.94

Thanks. By running I was referring to holding down the direction on the dpad; being so used to Donkey Kong Jr, I always quickly tapped the direction I wanted to move. For both of my times I managed to make great use of dying, and each time I had to return to the bottom manually almost nothing got in my way.
I've enjoyed playing Donkey Kong fairly well(on Collection & Gallery), but not well enough to buy an actual Game & Watch of it. I vastly prefer the Jr. games, and I also prefer Jr. over Donkey Kong on the arcades as well.
Yeah, I'm in the U.S.
