Getting no where near the 45 second mark, just run the perfect 4 rounds and still just off my best of 00:47.09. Unless there's a special power pill to boost Mario's speed I can't see me hitting 00:46 never mind 00:45 B-|http://mpanayiotakis.proboards.com/ It's possible, JB. Try to think outside the box, and use different strategies. I still can't beat your 1:08 time on DKII. Have you tried DKJR yet? I like it because you can move him a lot faster than in DK and DKII. Update: I just played DK2 a few times and got 01:08.99, still 4 hundredths of a second slower than your time! I'm trying to get Aris in on the action. He thinks he can beat us.

I gave it a go tonight, around 15 min on each game, but not very good times lol... DK 0:54.43 DK2 1:34.53 the time was without loosing any lifes, i am sure it will be quicker to die a couple of times to get to the bottom faster DKJ 1:07.43 But very funny indeed, its not that often i play with them so this might be a good chance to also clean them for some dust hehe Are we going to get some of the other games on the list ?

Hey guys "SpeedKonging" gotta love the name! Was pretty slow on my first go, got 1.08.87. Then I got 51.52. And on my 4th try, I got 47.51. I'm sure I can improve on this, but, once you get into the mid to late 40s, shaving even half a second off is a HUGE accomplishment. Sub 46 times will be difficult for sure. Good call setting this up EA! EDIT: Just got 46.85. You scared yet Ash? EDIT 2: Just had a perfect run and got 44.94. Slight hesitation on getting the 3rd key was the trick, as it caused that barrel on the very first level, to be one spot closer to me when I start, and hence, it disappears when you start your run for the 4th key. Now I wish I had kept some of these other games to compete in them too! Grrrrr!!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I didn't think anyone would beat my score! Now I have to play again until I beat yours. Nice to have you back in the forum, Aris. We need some more activity in here. Right, a key to getting a quick score is to get that barrel on the first level to disappear when you're placed back at the bottom. In DKII, a key to getting a quick time is to have a steel trap appear at the top level JUST after you put a key in the lock. That way, you can run into it to die on purpose and it whisks you back to the start saving a good 4 seconds or more if climbing back to the bottom. If not timed perfectly, the steel trap will disappear with all other enemies on the top screen right after you put a key in the lock. I haven't done too much speed konging with DKJR yet, but I'm sure there are little strategies to shave off the seconds on that one too. One thing I like about it is Junior moves WAY faster than in DK and DKII. Ash

I'm sorry, AnTiheLT. Somehow I completely missed your post. I'll put your scores on the list. Thanks for playing! It can be pretty addictive, can't it? What other games do you suggest we add? Are there any others that have a sequence like these three in which you can save or defeat someone? Ash

Well, I don't have many games left in my collection, so, I can only speed-compete with the ones I kept, namely, my all time favourite game: NWS Climber. I also kept NWS SMB, and MS MB. Kinda interesting to "Speedclimb", as the platforms are complete random, and sometimes, you're just stuck waiting for a platform to be created for you to jump onto. Anyway, gave it a go, and got 1:13.93 on my first successful attempt. I'm absolutely certain this time will easily be beat, if not by me, by another collector here, so, good luck to those who decide to try Speedclimbing. To start, I held the spacebar button down, and the "Game" button down on the Climber game, and then let them both go at the same time. I stopped the CubeTimber the moment I connected with Hentori (the bird). AC EDIT: Okay, just tried it again right after I posted the message above, and got 38.46 - Much better! EDIT 2: 32.78 - Not unbeatable at all. Times in the 20s should definitely be possible!

Climber would be a good one for speed playing, but I don't think many of us have a spare that we feel fine using the crap out of. My only Climber is NOS in perfect, unused condition, and I don't want to get my sweaty thumbs all over it. If any others want to challenge Aris's score, I'll add Climber to the rankings chart.

Just got 27.52, and it was a very good run - hardly any waiting. I was late stopping the CubeTimer, so, Mid 20s is indeed attainable! Sounds like it's time to get a spare Climber Eric!
