Hello Guys..
I purchased this game Manhole from a seller in a flea market. I usually buy games from him without even seeing them. He called me and said would i be interested in some Manhole game. I immediately realized that he has no idea about G&W and says some game.
I bought it without even seeing it a fortnight ago. I just received the game today. To my amazement it was Manhole in not that great condition. I was a little disappointed. But when i turned the game to see if its working, what i noticed was that the rear cover is GREEN in Color. Its like one of those green Fires.
I dont know if this has been discovered before or this topic has been already discussed on this forum.
Can anyone one throw light on this GREEN MANHOLE.
Thank you.
Regards

Hi,what is the color of the front of the game?? around the screen???and under the battery cover? if it's blue,it' s sunfade... Seeing the condition it's in, I'd agree with Maxime and say it's probably sun fade. Open it up and see what it looks like from the inside. Do you have a Photobucket account? If so, just hover the pointer over your picture, then click on "IMG code," paste the IMG code here in the forum, and the photo will show up. Still wanna see that white Crab Grab and Popeye tag!

I will open the game tonight and update about the inside of this game. So if the inside is blue then it is definitely sun faded. Hopefully lets see the inside today.
the color of the game around the screen is pale yellow.
thank you for the update guys.. will be back soon..

Wow! That sure is one ugly looking game. If it isn't caused by fading, whatever war that game survived probably caused the discolouration. My money's with Max & Ash, I would be very surprised if the greenish colour is original.
I can't really see it in the pic you've attached, but, the other thing to look at is the model number stamped area, to make sure some smart-alec didn't just take the back off of Popeye or DKJR, and just attach it to the back of NWS MH.
Yeah! I'm waiting for the pics of that white CG as well. What's happening with that one Aatif?

Hi all..
Indeed.. The inside is GREEN AS WELL.. Immaculate green.. The model number stamped area is with the details of Manhole.. The battery cover is also green inside.. It is a GREEN Manhole! Probably the first one ever looks like.. I will try and take good close up pics and post it on this forum.. BTW Ash i dint find the img code link where i could copy and paste it in photobucket.. How else can i post pictures in this forum?
I will get the crab grab and manhole pictures ready to be re veiled soon..
I am so exited.. I was just hoping that the inside is green too and it is.. Aris definitely the model number area is intact and pure original.. pLease help me post the pictures on this forum..

Hi Ash.. Thank you so much.. Will check the email.. The front cover is pale yellow.. the rear cover is green.. Thanks for the pics, it's definitely green. But still, judging by the bizarrely corroded shape it's in, I'm still reluctant to say this was its original color. Also, a "pale yellow" front cover makes me think it was altered by the sun or some sort of weather factor. Can we see the front cover too? Another thing kind of interesting is that its serial number could fall within the Pocketsize range.
