This thread should contain links to auctions or sales with bad descriptions or misleading information. Michael

This is not exactly misleading information but I suppose I can post it under this thread as the subject is similar. I want to mention something about the following auction. I won a boxed donkey kong like this a lot time ago, from the same seller: cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2541&item=3169797472&ssPageName=STRK:MEBWA:ITThe item was as described but the plastic bag wasn't original. I emailed him for this but he never replied. So, if anyone is interested, take this in consideration especially if you care about such things (like I do) and ask him. Note: I have nothing against this seller. In fact, I've won some items from him in the past and never had a problem apart from what I described above. You might find the information I posted useful though. Michael

you have to remember its 20 years old stock, its not necessarily gonna be kept nicely, could well have been work experience boys chair for the last 15 years!
i think it is old shop stock from the numbers of each he possesses, must have got hold of some cases of each

Michael
this is the first I've heard of it. you are mistaken regarding the original plastic bag. i received these games in bulk and they all came with the original plastic bag, and they leave my house the same way once sold. i have never at any time replaced the original bag with a fake one. I also do not recall ever receiving an email in this regard, from you or anyone, and nor should I for the very reason that it's never been anything but the real thing.
Sorry to hear that this was somewhow a reality for you because after selling close to 50 of these dk52 over the last 15 months to multiple buyers, this is the first time I have heard anything of the sort.
I hope this clears things up somewhat?
Kindly, Shankly.

Well, the one I received had a plastic bag which wasn't the original (it was larger than the normal one) and I did email you (?) about it - maybe the email was lost, don't know.. Anyway, I'm sorry if I implied that you deliberately exchanged the plastic bags with fake ones. You possibly didn't know about that. My purpose was just to alert anyone interested and ask you for more information. Most people aren't so picky about these stuff but I know a couple who are and this post was addressed to them..

Hi Paul/shankly, You probably remember that I also purchased one of these DK-52's from you. Michael is correct, the plastic bag is not original. My guess is that stock you obtained were perhaps ex-display model games hence the light scratches on the metal tops. My theory is the original bags were thrown away and when the games were replaced back into the boxes a different un-standard bag was used. By the way, you got an excellent price on that last one of yours, considering you sold most of them around the $100 mark QJ

Hello QJ
Thanks for that. I would never have known. Man, you guys are like fine wine taters! Nice stuff. I never was aware of this, but in hind sight, what you mentioned QJ makes sense. Michael, my apologies on the actual 'fact of it is' issue. I am not in the loop in terms of these fine details pertaining to game & watch, but it helps to know that you guys are.
Thanks again guys, Shankly.

Tend to agree there shankly, I think Andres may have slightly over rated the Popeye box.
BTW, he seems to be selling a lot of mint/new games, get the feeling he could be selling up his collection?

I think this is a great problem between collectors. I have often been criticized for this (and who hasn't!) but I think as long as you give detailed information and photos about the items you sell, it should be ok. After all, since rating a box based on a scale of 1 to 10 is a totally subjective matter, one shouldn't be so hard on others if their options differ.
For example, this box for me is about c8. I would call a box c6.5 only if it had tears, missing flaps etc. Andreas thinks that it's at least c9. If you wanted to bid you would look at the photos anyway..

I have deleted/modified this post, in the interest of fair-play. I made the point that I wanted to make, initially publicly, but I don't want it to remain "on the record" so to speak I am self-censoring.

Jon, I think that Andreas is a member of this forum so he can reply to you.
I just wanted to say this: I think it's not fair to judge someone by only a few of his feedback especially if you're biased towards the other party. You can't judge by only a few words what was said and done between them. Many times I was on the brink of leaving negative feedback but simple things like an email, a call etc. changed all that.
