Come on guys... I am like the least most impressive collector on the board there is no way this item is that rare.
First off this is the BALLOON FIGHT crystal screen.
It comes with a slip of plastic that slips around the screen and has green mountains in the background.
It has a leaflet too thats ays
"Please note:
This super-thin game employs the world's first transparent LCD liquid crystal display screen. It is designed for use against any background but the screen is clearest when placed against a bright background. If you should find the screen difficult to see, place the game inside the attached plastic holder and play."

Wow Matt! Did you win that Well done (Roz's face is distorted in jelousy!) Yeah the plastic belly band (as I shall call it from now on) goes on the outside of the game. Basically crystal screens are not easy to see if you play them on the train (don't worry - I will not try it) and the furniture of the train is dark coloured so you cannot read the LCD then you slip this band on and it provides a nice background for you to see your game on. Cool and a little bit of history so look out for one when you are buying a BF. It's a shame they didn't do this with the others... imagine how cool the Super Mario crystal art would have been ;D

Hi Roz...welcome to the forum by the way You're correct in one of your previous postings:- The photo of my crystal Mario game does indeed have the instruction manual pictured underneath! It's a shame that Balloon Fight is the only crystal with this "backdrop" picture. I'm sure Climber and Mario would have looked quite nice with one of these backdrops too! Cheers, QJ

Hi Danny. I have to say I considered getting it for the box as I already have the bf with scene and instructions. But I have decided to save my money for a super mario bros crystal screen. I do like the crystal screens. I can't get my head around the idea that they did not sell well. I suppose it was just their price. How did their original retail price compare with the New Widescreen ones? Thanks Roz Hi Roz, By my knowledge they never released those beauty's in Holland. So I don't have a clue about there original prices. For me they are the best G&W's to have. Greetz, Danny

Danny, that would seem odd considering that I know for a fact that they were released in Greece. Why would Nintendo think that Greece is a better marketplace than Holland ?

Cheap as chips and cheese cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=ViewItem&item=3170517169funny this seller is always the cheapest place to shop. Add him to your fav seller I say. I only use paypal so I had to leave it. Game alone is worth $40+ US. Bargin and I could have resold it for double thats what I call a cheap game. you could double your money. *00~

Yes, I've noticed that too...It seems a lot of sellers in asian countries don't sell things as well as people in USA, UK, Aust etc. etc.

You asked for it IFT !!! ;D Cue: Jon ranting about lack of paypal availability in Australian auctions - An awful lot of sellers " down under" seem to want something along the lines of " direct bank transfer " or "wire transfer" (which is expensive AND bothersome for the buyer). Ditto "cash" in registered mail - I've decided never again This is typical of an Aussie auction: cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3072790896&category=8106Very clearly states NO PAYPAL - as if that's good or something? Another one taken at random cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3072604209&category=8106Another one - No paypal. cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3073048579&category=8106This is not a "personal" attack on these sellers I assure you, and heaven knows paypal isn't perfect, but if you're not prepared to take (convenient) credit card payments (whether it's paypal or ANother), you WILL lose a lot of interest in the auction. and BTW all my trouble with baskabar (purple judge won July 2002 - I'm still waiting for it) stemmed from the fact that (he claimed) his bank wouldn't let him have a paypal account. I recently won this boxed egg from our man in asia, cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3167686504&category=2541&rd=1and it was a NIGHTMARE making a payment, because I was supposed to make a payment using "Western Union Money Transfer" or something, so I dutifully clicked the link on the item description (which took me to . I made the payment, and then the seller told me I'd done the wrong thing - apparently Money Transfer is something different from auctionpayments, but (as I explained to him as calmly as I could) I had only clicked the link from his page. Argghhh! More paypal please ;D and as for french sellers etc. etc. etc. ......

I agree that when selling items to people in other countries, paypal is definitely the easiest option. 95% of my overseas sales pay me by paypal.
Unfortunately a lot of Australian sellers will try to convince foreigners that Paymate is a better way to go. Most people overseas have never even heard of it though.
Having said that though, paypal is not without its problems.

...actually you're wrong here Jon ..I asked the seller a few days ago and she said she would accept PayPal But I do agree with you points raised though! A lot of eBay sellers are also buyers so it makes sense to operate a PayPal account even if you can't withdraw the funds - you can still use the money for your purchases. Sending cash in the post is risky, Western Union is expensive for the buyer (and the exchange rates are appalling when I last looked about two weeks ago) and I would NEVER EVER do a bank account transfer which would involve giving out my bank account details to someone I don't know. So you can see where PayPal fits in here - convenient, quick and you can pay on your plastic. I'm not a PayPal fan but it's a sad fact that without it you loose bidders/sales. QJ
