I have to say that these prices are slightly higher than the prices we've seen lately for ps games..

Hi Chris, Well, when he bought stuff off of me, then tried to threaten me by telling me to lower my shipping costs, or he wouldn't pay, I basically told him where to go. Unlike his shipping prices, mine aren't inflated as I charge actual shipping costs. He then tried to get out of buying one of my games claiming he didn't realize it didn't come with instructions, then he said it wasn't an original Nintendo product, blah, blah, blah. After pointing out that everything he was claiming was clearly indicated in the write up, not to mention, I had close to a dozen photos on the auction, he gave up trying to weasel his way out of the auction, and bit the bullet with having to pay the price he bid. I actually ended up feeling sorry for him (yeah, I guess there is a soft side to me sometimes) and offered to send him a free pouch. However, during my dealings with him, I was very concerned about getting ripped off, as I didn't trust him at all! So, I had everything packaged up, told him when payment was due, he dicked me around with that, so I thought, dude, you're a flake, and you don't deserve a free "feel sorry for you" gift from me, so I re-opened the box, took out the pouch, and sent the items off using PayPal's seller protection method and claimed full value for the items, b/c of the trust issue I had with him. Needless to say, he was pissed off when he had to pay duty on his item, and then asked where the pouch was. I told the guy I took it out b/c he dicked me around with paying later than my, rather generous, payment due date. He said he still wanted it. LOL! I'll warn you guys about his items, he's a pure re-seller only in it to make money, no love for the games etc... If he wins an auction from you, he often will steal your auction pics and either all, or parts of your write-up and load up the "re-sell" auction WAAAAY before he even gets the games from you. He even mixes and matches photos from different auctions, so, not all pics are legit (at least, he did that with my items). Anyway, the loser is a member here, so, I hope he reads this as I wouldn't mind telling him off here too!!! Just kidding Mike, I'll try to be good.... As for the Matey version of LB, there was a discussion about it here, and I think the end result consensus was that the game was basically a repackaged LB game that was worth no more than a loose LB in the same condition. Having said that, when Paul sold his, it went for several hundred dollars, as it is something that is considered rare, plus, it was "devster04" selling it, so, it must be worth something!!! LOL! I don't remember anyone mentioning anything about production numbers, so, I'm not sure where he got that "50" number from. Either I missed that part, or, he's making it up, or, he got a hold of someone at the "Matey" company (do they even still exist???) and came up with that number. Either way, despite his well-written write ups, the game is barely worth a fraction of what he's selling it for, and on top of that, the guy's a shyster, so, if I were you, I'd avoid his auctions and have nothing to do with him. He'll still get his sales from the uninitiated. AC PS Sorry Mike, I guess this doesn't really belong in the "Very nice and rare items" thread eh?

Oh well I don't mind Aris, I posted about the matey lifeboat auction in the bad descriptions thread. He's making all that stuff up. This isn't a legit release imho and certainly we don't know whether 50 of them were made or that it was a Christmas/birthday/whatever gift.. We've discussed about this in the past and I don't want to go into further details on what we concluded back then..

LOL, that auction has certainly got us talking!
I honestly think that those lifeboats had nothing to do with the 'Matey' brand (which still exists) but more to do with the company 'Lifeboat matey' which no longer exists, I believe.

Yup, nice collection indeed! Do you think if I asked him for all the serial numbers, that he would give them to me? AC

I'm sure he'll lose a lot of money unless he got most of his games at bargain prices.. It's never a good idea to sell a complete collection.. People can't spend so much money on a hobby at once..
