I think the voting system is very easy to comprehend. We've discussed about it, like 10 times already and most of you have surely watched the eurovision song contest for at least once in your life so you're familiar with it anyway! For people outside Europe, I've posted a separate thread to make things easier so now, there's no excuse! If you still have any questions, you can post them here or in any competition related thread.
A simple poll wouldn't work out as good as this voting system because the designs are all very good and people can't choose easily. This system gives everyone the opportunity to prioritize and award more than one design. This system also ensures that we won't have two designs with the same points in the first place.
I expect all collectors to vote and some visitors as well. I suppose next week people will have more time to send in their votes.

Well, it's nearly impossible with this system to have two designs with the same points (and there is no 9 there Pieter  ) after a certain number of votes which is something I can't really say for a simple poll..

Brendan, why didn't you just write each design name down on a bit of paper and write your votes against it? Then you can PM the votes straight off the paper? That's what I did. I agree with Pieter that any complaints about this are totally out of place, even if it is slightly time consuming. This is the most exciting thing to happen on the forum for many months. Now, we'll have to think of something else to keep the momentum going! p.s. Pieter, I think you should really put in your votes as soon as possible, otherwise you may have seen the current leader and that may influence your voting. That goes for Mike, too. Andy

Andy Hi Andy, Mike and I decided that it would be inappropriate for us to vote because we organised the whole thing, so we won't vote. Until now 13 people have cast their votes, of which 5 are participants. Two participants didn't vote yet (you know who you are ). Your design WILL be disqualified if your votes aren't in in time. No excuses allowed! sAner

I think we can make this an annual event so if everything goes well, we will prepare a new competition before christmas of 2006!

Yes, but maybe we'll do something slightly different next year. Maybe a fake G&W advert, or something. We've got 12 months to think of something!
Andy.
