Thanks sAner. I have recently made an offer for torsten's pocketsize donkeykong. I would also like to know if anyone knows if there is anywhere in hio I can purchase game and watches, as I am going there on holiday. Paul05

Heya Paul, Only 15 he! I'm curious, what made you decide to collect game & watches. You're much too young to have a sentimental reason, like most off us. And do realise how expensive pocketsize games are? A dk1 alone goes for around 250-300 dollars. And that's a common one (if you can call it common). I've seen a ps rainshower that sold for more than 2000 dollar. I wish you all the best with collecting them, but be sure to bring a lot of cash. An old guy , René

Thanks Rene, I about one year ago, I bought a nintendo snes. I was facisinated with the early mario bros. games and wanted to find out more about nintendo's history. I shortly came across an old gameboy gallery in my house. I really liked the addictive games, and decided to look out for game and watches and other old nintendo consoles. My collction is now- boxed- mickey and donald, snoopy tennis(with original receipt),fire RC-04,mario bros, octopus and donkey kong 2. unboxed- super mario bros crystal, super mario bros., zelda, squish, tropical fish, lion,dk jr. panorama, dk 3 micro vs parachute, dk jr., bombsweeper and lifeboat. Ask for the cash situation, I am not going to try and collect all of the pocketsizes, just some. I am going to collect "normal" game and watches as well. To help fund my first pocket size, I am thinking of selling my unboxed games through ebay or otherwise. A young guy, Paul

Hi Paul and welcome. You've got a good start with nice games as SMB crystal and those boxed games. I hope you can find some nice pocketsize games in the future, they're among my favorites also.

Welcome Paul. It's nice to see new colectors here but it's even nicer to discover people who seem to be interested in the games but didn't originally own any of them! For the moment you're an exception but I hope that will change soon!
Good luck collecting the games you want. There's some fierce competition out there!

Hello, Paul. Welcome and nice to meet you.
I am really surprised since you started to collect from 15 years ago. (I had never thought to collect anything at this age...)
I am tempting to collect Pocketsize since it has very cool box art. Hope you can find very nice Pocketsize games and enjoy your collecting life.
Regards Baluce

Thanks, I also think the pocketsizes have very nice artwork and it is one of the main reasons I want to try and get one soon. Paul05

Hello gamers,
I cannot say that I am a new collector. I have been collecting for a few years but tried to get a nice collection without bidding on Internet auction. For a long time I thought the auctions made it too simple to find what I wanted. But going to flee markets only resulted in loose handhelds, with a few exceptions. So finally I made my debut on ebay last week by winning two Tomy handhelds. Okey, they are not G&W but my collecting does not end with Nintendo.
I have 27 different Game & Watches, and a lot of doubles.
The boxed ones are: Octopus Donkey Kong Bombsweeper Goldcliff Boxing (two copies)
I feel like an ant compared to some of your collections. They are quite amazing and impressive. One of the most amazing ones are Devster's collection. Wow, what about those factory boxes with ten games in each...how can you find such vast gems? What are the possibilities? Thanks for giving me butterflies in my stomach! (here I would have put emoticons or abbreviations to show my feelings, but I do not believe in them)

hi Fridenpaden and welcome to the board... you are righ in saying that devser collection is outstanding, with nice mint items and boxes , but also ultra mega rare items such as NOA punchout and NOA DK Hockey... some of the other collectors does have also outstanding collections such as torsten(http://www.intheattic.co.uk/reviews.html) which has almost all versions of all games from all nintendo brands (such as tricotronic, futuretronic, JI21, CGL, ...) or Michael ( www.geocities.com/mpanayiotakis) or... well see here for all the link to the webpages : G&W COLLECTORS TOP50 List - part IIor in the collection forum for more pictures... From which country are you from.?.?.? [glow=purple,2,300]TheWelcomer[/glow]

hello MikeDotBe,
there are a lot of amazing collections showing on this site. However, my opinion is that there are so many brands to collect. Just focusing on G&W is a pity (although they are the best by far)
strange, why don't my information show? I have to go back and see at my profile. I am from Sweden, the home of the crystals...? Well, anyway, I have heard that the crystal screen games were pretty common in Sweden (compared to other countries). Sadly, I have not found a Balloon fight, yet.

Well, if you decide to collect all the 60 games with their boxes, you'll understand why most of us chose to collect only the Nintendo game&watch games.. After all, if you decide to get some rare variations, there will be no money left for anything else! Believe me, I know!

Hey Michael
yes I know G&W collecting is an expensive hobby. I just bought one NIB Black Jack and one NIB DK Hockey for 63 euro, with shipping from Italy it was 85 euro all in all.
But I cannot be without the other brands. Some of them are so great.
I will focus on finding a complete collection, first of all. If I find boxed games around €30 I will probably buy those.
Micro vs. system games seem to be less expensive than other types. Is that true?

Is that true? first of all, try to edit your messages instead of double posting :P concerning the prices for BlackJacks, dk hockey and dk 3, they all are around $50.00. this price is due to the lot brand new items availlable on the market. you could easilly buy them from Spain, Italy , USA or Singapor now findong other games at $30 maybe easy for the common one, but you'll have a lot of difficulties in finding a boxed egg for $30.00 :) as an example my own collection cost me between 2000$ and 2200$ without the JI21 variation... and i only have around 25-30 games and no expensive one like flagman, or crystal or yellow beauty.. of course all are boxed in c9+ condition... it's an expensive addiction... ;D

Mike,
have to disagree with the prices on the DK# and BJ and would say that you could probably get them in the low $40s.
P.S. has there been a sudden growth in interest with new collectors of G&Ws joining the forum?
