I have added the start of my new website. If you want to have a look, go to: homepage.ntlworld.com/gameandwatch where you can see all of my 3 sites. The new one is VERY large in places, for example the 'other G&W items' is 650K so unless you've got a fast broadband connection, you'll have a long wait, but hopefully it's worth it. There's a LOT to do, I've just put up a few pages to start. Andy.

Hi Andy.
Let me be the first to congratulate you on the new site. I know it's under contruction, but what's there is super cool. Totally fitting with the genre. Love the games room interface! Looks like you've got a lot of cool content planned - that timeline is very cool.
Look forward to coming back regularly to see what you've added. I shall sort a link from my site once I get my links page back up.
Cheers,
Aporva (kidbaxi)

hi andy this is really cool. saw it from work's network so had no probs with loading up. love the timeline and also the auto-changing display of games on the LHS of GW screen.
really really well done!!! can't wait to see the finished product!
just one suggestion, is it possible to put in some sound for the under construction page? you know when the little men are passing the packages? just like a real GW game
you must be proud!
cheers ruth :juggler:

Thanks for all your kind comments! hi andy this is really cool. saw it from work's network so had no probs with loading up. love the timeline and also the auto-changing display of games on the LHS of GW screen. ruth I really enjoyed doing the timeline because it's something nobody's done before, graphically representing the release dates, and it was interesting to see the lengths of each series. The GW-other page is so big I decided to put a 'loading' page on at the last minute, but it isn't working properly yet. just one suggestion, is it possible to put in some sound for the under construction page? you know when the little men are passing the packages? just like a real GW game I am going to be adding sound to the site at a later date. I wanted to keep the construction page as small as possible, though, which is why there's no sound on it. you must be proud! I am now after reading all your kind words! I thought it was great as I was doing it but I never know what other people will think. Andy. p.s. What you see on the new site has taken me around 30-40 hours so far, so I expect there's a few hundred hours to go before it's anywhere near finished. p.p.s. Now is the time for me to ask my off-topic question: Can anyone help me with including a hit counter and/or guestbook? I'm fine with Flash but I have no idea when it comes to PHP/SQL/databases/whatever is required.

How easy did you find the new site to use? I wanted it to look good and have a 'WOW' factor, but not at the expense of useability. Did you quickly work out how to activate the menus/buttons, etc. In particular the sliding menubar on 'other G&W'' and the scrolling games list on the main G&W page.
thanks again for your input
Andy.

Hi Andy, I think that your website is easy to use. But I have to admit that first time I didn't realise that sliding menubar on the "other G&W" is working one, I just clicked the text and nothing happened... just thought that it is under construction Now at second attempt ... I found it very easy to use. That's only my opinion. The graphics looks great and the colors are fine! And the usability of this website is just great. -TheJake

I've done a few small updates to my new site. Instead of posting here all the time (I won't be able to double post) I've added a what's new page so anyone who's looking for new items on the site can easily see what I've done.
I'm currently working on a playable version of Ball which should be online soon
Andy.
