In the past when there's something I've been really interesting in gets pulled early I quite often emailed the seller and said something like "If you have sold this item privately I sincerely hope you got $xxx amount for it"....it's amazing how many replied back say.."why? would you have offered more?" The seller usually then re-lists the item This is one way to stop these underhand bidders from stealing the gems ;D QJ

That's probably the best thing you can do. Let the seller know he made a mistake!

I like what the seller writes in the description:- Guys, you know the value of this so show me. [/i] he, he. I think most people will be watching and waiting until the last minute. QJ

Hi! I agree with QJ, Most collectors wait until the last second and snipe the item, usually with a really high bid. Though, You might get lucky Jon, and might win the item really cheap!

Hmm, no instructions, no leaflets, only game (seems to be in good condition) and box.. I suppose it can go up to $110-$120.

The paperwork is exactly the same as the standard versions so I can't see it having much of an impact on the auction price.

Yeah, I know what you meant originally Michael Since there is no instructions it's not a major problem since you get them from a standard box, hence it shouldn't put too many people off from bidding. QJ

Ah, now I get it! But I think it always matters when there's no paperwork included in such auctions.. The fortunate thing with a pocketsize donkey kong 2 is that you can get the paperwork (even the game itself) from regular boxes for very cheap prices. But still, this is too much trouble for some. Oh, yes, I almost forgot.. This should interest most of you. I recently emailed a fellow greek collector about an item he auctioned (which ended without bids) a few days ago). I used Ebay's message service to ask him if he would give the item to me in the price listed originally as I missed the end of the auction.. To my amazement, the message was returned to me (!) with something along the following lines written from Ebay: "If this is an offer to sell outside Ebay, please do not respond. Actions such as this are against Ebay policies and ... blah blah blah.. " ! I suppose a similar message was sent to the recipient of my original message too. I see this as a good and a bad thing at the same time. Good because finally Ebay decided to take some action against such offers and bad because the auction had ended and it wasn't their business any more! They should have checked this, shouldn't they ? Btw, the message was in Greek. Michael

Jon ended up winning the Donkey Kong 2 pocketsize for $61US. Pretty cheap compared to other similar auctions in the past.

Hello guys I was overbid by some new collector. Still, that would have been my first Pocketsize game and my first Game & Watch I've bought within about one year. ;D

Hi sAner
Fine fine, thanks.
And you guys, are you still happy collecting these tiny beautiful games?
What's up in Game & Watch scene? Did something special happen in the last year? Maybe the Tetris multiscreen appeared on ebay? Does a Turtle Bridge Pocketsize exist? What's up with the prices? I have no idea what's going on...
I've seen a Rainshower NEW going for around 1000 Euro on ebay! I couldn't believe it, but I'm happy to have one in the same condition.
I got back to collecting because I found a boxed Crystal Mario Bros. in the last days. Now, I'm trying to trade it for any boxes I don't have yet. Maybe I'll buy something on ebay in future. It depends on the prices.
;D, Marcel
