So, Proboards gives now board owners the option to change the URL of their boards (with a small fee of course). The new url will be xxxxxxxxxx.proboards.com (xxxxxxx can be anything that doesn't exist already as a proboards board). Do you think I should change the URL? Let me know your view on this please! I don't think it makes much difference as people looking hard enough will find this forum anyway. But if you're going to change it, then I prefer the first option. Or perhaps gameandwatch

Hi Mike,
For me, the URL does not have to change, it's fine the way it is as I have it bookmarked and can find it easily just by typing something like: "Mike's Game and Watch forum". However, from a logical standpoint, and if you wanted other people, including potential new members to find this place, I think the URL should actually contain the words "Game & Watch" or "Game and Watch" in it.
So, for me, I would suggest something that has these words in it: "Mike's Game & Watch Forum"
I guess it would look like this: "MikesGame&Watchforum.proboards.com
Hope this helps.

Thanks Aris, the problem with the url you suggested is that if someone hasn't bookmarked it, it would be somewhat difficult to remember and it's too long. I think everyone can remember "gamewatchforum" as the first part of the url.. What do other people think?
I'm not sure whether the old url would work in addition to the new one, I'll have to ask about that as if it doesn't, it would be a problem for most occasional visitors..
