Hey Guys, I was recently informed the pics of my collection are no longer showing up in my thread, so, I took out all my games (over 150 pieces!) and started snapping pictures like crazy!!! I also decided to try and take a picture of just about everything, G&W related that I own, and realized afterward, I left out my G&W book (L'Histoire de Nintendo) from Flo, my Chef holographic ruler, three gold pouches, 1 loose MB Multi Screen game, a bunch of instruction manuals and some G&W stickers. Oh well.... I didn't really have much more room to fit them in anyway, and it took me long enough to figure out the layout I wanted to use, so, here it goes.... Phew! Hope you guys enjoyed all the pics!!! AC

Very impressive, Aris! Very impressive! But, still a lot to collect That's what's making collecting so much fun. I see you still need some boxes, special mario, batterypacks..... I've seen a lot of collections through the years, but yours is one off the largest, with a lot of very nice items. I also have a suggestion how you should place the games to make an overall picture. Place them in the way, that they spell the word BIN ;D Good luck, René

Unbelievable collection Aris! Very impressive. Notable absents of the YM - 901? Is there a reason for this? Definately one of the nicest collections I've ever seen. Well done mate.
Cheers Shane

Cheers Shane Thanks SM! Regarding the "notable" absent YM901S, let's just say that if they were about the same cost as Blackjack, DKH or DK3, you could bet there would be at least two boxed and two loose amongst my stash! ;D Yeah, that game is too expensive for my liking, and it's not really a game you can get on the cheap, very easily! Boxed, I think, is out of the question for me, but I almost bought a loose one on two different occasions. One off YJ, that ended up having some sort of reserve on it, (which I didn't realize, probably b/c Japanese isn't one of the two languages I speak, plus, I was using another forum member's login and password, so, I wasn't exactly familiar with YJ auctions) and the second one was on ebay, and actually finished quite low for such a nice conditioned game! Some guy in the Netherlands won that one, It was for the high $400s. Maybe $480 or something like that. And it was sold by that "Game8027" guy (or whatever his ID is) from California. Wait, I'll check the database..... Yes! It was sold by Game8090 and it was for $470! Sometimes I wish I had gone for it, but, who knows what the winner's max was anyway? My most expensive game was the boxed Crystal Screen Balloon Fight at $376 USD, and no, it was not BINNED! Some of my better bargains were: $45 USD for the boxed PS MB (that's how she listed it) $50 USD for the boxed MM Pano (that's how the guy listed it!) $60 USD for the boxed PS DK (that's how she listed it) $60 USD for the boxed PS DKII (that's how she listed it) $199 USD for the MIMB Popeye Tabletop (that's how she listed it) AC

Oh.... you're talking about my collection - Sorry! Yeah, I still need a boxed Ball, Chef, DKC, DKJR Pano, Judge (Green & Purple), MTJ, SMBS, & Vermin! Loose-wise, I just need the SMBS! Yeah, I need a sh*tload of batteries, and I can use some instructions too. I have all six Panos, but only one instruction booklet for them. Actually, I have two, I'm just waiting on a DKJR instruction manual to come from the UK any day now! LOL! Yup, I guess that BIN "stigma" will always be attached to my name eh Rene? The ironic thing is, of all people, YOU'RE the one bringing it up! ;D Thanks again, AC

Second Pic: Your Coleco Jr. looks dejected and alone in the corner, while the popular crowd hams it up for the camera. ;D
Also, what's up with "Longs Kona"? If that's Kona as in Kona Hawaii, I used to shop at that store!

Yeah, he's not part of the "in" crowd!!! ;D That Longs Kona receipt was in the Lifeboat game, so, I just kept it along with all the other paperwork the game came with. I've never heard of that name before, so, I had no idea what it was. Well, I figured it was a store, but, had no idea what kind of store. I would have thought hunting or something.... LOL! AC

Hey Aris! I can only agree with the previous comments!! You have a very big and wonderful collection!! And to know that you paid good (bargain) prices for lots of rare items, is another thing that´s worth a big hand on it´s own!! So here it is! Thanks for sharing your collection with us! It must have taken many days and nights to arrange it all!! ;D

A google search of Longs Kona brings up the store I used to shop at. Weird! There's probably only one Longs Kona in the world. I even know a guy who works there. Maybe he sold that copy of Lifeboat. ;D
Also, I forgot to mention you have an awesome collection! You oughta sell some of those doubles to get the games you don't have!

Lovely lot although I think you made the collection look a lot bigger than is really is by posting the same photo's more than once! I've never seen a french Flagman box before. Seeing a large collection like this makes me pine for the games I sold. Perhaps I should stay away from this forum I know of another Kona. I think her Surname was Carmack. You should google her. Best playmate I've ever seen Andy

Aris, when you do something you feel the need to be extremely thorough, don't you? ;D Nice lot of photos and congrats on your collection! I don't think I've seen your collection before, very nice items in there, but man, you need to sell a few of your doubles, where do you stash all of these?

LOL!! Now I ask you, who else can post pics of their collection, and have the discussion branch out to a playmate? Thanks Ulf! Yes, I did find some nice bargains in there, so, my collection might very well be one of the least expensive, almost complete, collection around! ;D It did take me a long time to take all the pics, arrange it, and then I had no more room (within the room I set everything up in) to take the last few pics where the entire collection was pictured. I had to open the closet doors and take the pics from within the closet (yeah, yeah, yeah, insert joke here!) just to get back far enough to fit all the games in the picture!!! LOL! ;D Andy: Yes, there are a lot of pics of the same games, but, that was just to show them boxed, outside of the box, etc... but, to get an idea of the actual numbers, just look at the last few pics, it has just about everything other than: the stuff I just sold, a Green Judge and pouch that Paul finally sent to me, and another loose MB game. Yes, it's the only French Flagman box I've ever seen too! And I didn't even notice it until I sent some pics of it to Damian, and he quickly pointed it out! LOL! Yeah, I can think of a few people that wouldn't be too disappointed if you decided to stay away from this forum..... ;D Mike: What are you saying? That I have OCD or something??? ;D Yeah, I can be somewhat overzealous with things.... by nature, I am pretty particular about things and don't really like to be sloppy. I mean, if you're going to do something, do it right! It's hard to sell anything Mike!!! Especially if it's in great condition. I kinda do want to have two of everything if possible, so, I guess, technically, I can sell one of my three boxed GH games, one of my three loose GH games, one of my three boxed Gold MH games, one of my three boxed MB games and one of my three loose Silver Fire games. Oh, and I don't need two shippers of DKH, so, I guess I can sell that too. I do have three loose MB games, but, one's a Pokka version, so, that doesn't really count as having three. ;D Thanks for the nice comments on my collection Mike! Where do I stash everything? Everything more or less fits on two shelves of our IKEA bookcases. The Tabletops I keep on the top of my "half-width" IKEA bookcases, two TTs on each half width unit. When I put everything back, I'll take pics so you can see what it looks like. AC
