It appears that these are just conceptual designs and are not for sale. The G&W Gameboy Micro designs are part of a Nintendo campaign to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of 'Super Mario Bros.' on September 13, 2005. The Japanese text below each design reads: "These Game Boy Micro's are 'Memorial Designs' and 'Wouldn't it be nice to have this design' ideas collected from industry, artists and other talent and are not for sale." You can see many other conceptual designs here (Click on the 'Happy! Mario 20th' Banner): www.nintendo.co.jp/mario20th/20th_special/index.html

Hi All,
I've got mine over 2 weeks ago and spend $76.00 (incl. S&H) for a NEW US Special 20th Famicom Edition one. It's a neat/small gadget while I've been mostly playing Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga and picked up Sigma Star Saga, Mario Kart Super Circuit, Final Fantasy I&II Dawn Of Souls, and planning to bid on a few more RPGs for now!

I think the the GBA micro has the shortest lifespan amongst the game boy consoles. The US and Europe websites do not show them anymore. No new or special versions are being released in Japan. In fact, release of new GBA games has practically ceased. The GBA system is very quickly giving way to the DS, which has not lost the war with PSP in most parts of the worlds, except Hong Kong.

Understandable, Nintendo can't support both systems at the same time.

I've got an SP NES edition and it looks great! I understand what you mean and a micro costs less than the average boxed game&watch!
