Yeah I was a bit worried for the mental state of Mike as well... Me owning something G&W-related that Mike haven't seen just seems preposterous ;D What can I say - I don't sleep very well lately! ;D Yes, that's the theory.. The serial on the box indicates a batch number of 10 games. Now that you posted a photo of a game with a serial ending in 90 and a box with a serial ending in 9 there's no doubt that the shipping box contained all games with serials ending from 81 to 90. All game boxes should have had the same serial on the flap.. Michael

Okay folks, just thought I'd give new life to this thread because I just found an even LOWER serial number than 00000077! I was talking to a Japanese collector and found out that he has owned a Ball with serial number 00000061 since his childhood. Unfortunately, he doesn't have the box, but I'm guessing the flap number would be 00000007 ( ), meaning the seventh shipper of Ball games to ever be produced...? Here is a photo of the latest finding: Ash

i was just looking through a copy of mikes faq i had saved from 5 years ago and it had a serial database that had ball with the serial numbers 003 And 009 "Ball
AC-01
00003,00009
Japanese - No AC01
No model number on back of game"
so im confused as why this game as 061 is thought to be the lowest serial ever found ??

so im confused as why this game as 061 is thought to be the lowest serial ever found ?? Ave That's strange, as I can't find it in my FAQ which is more recent. I wouldn't trust those numbers in the FAQ you have for various reasons. 1) The FAQ is a work in progress and, although it is a fun reference tool, I have found several errors in it, so it should not be taken as gospel truth. 2) Serial numbers should be 8 digits long, so "00003,00009" seem kind of odd. 3) When someone in this forum won a Ball with a serial number of 000000130, everyone in here was excited, including Mike himself, claiming that we might never find a lower serial number than that. This happened a lot more recent than 5 years ago. So that's my take on it. I still think 00000061 is the lowest serial number that we know of, unless someone can verify the "00003,00009" with a photo. UPDATE: I just found the numbers in my copy of the FAQ, and I think they are supposed to mean 00003xxx and 00009xxx. The text above it written in bold says that "only the first digits of the serials are listed". - Ash
