Hi Rich, Congratulations on the great scores. You must've had a lot of time on your hands to break all those records in a short amount of time. Sorry it took so long to update. Unfortunately, it's not as lively in here as it used to be. I put all your records on the board except for DKJR because it looks like someone has higher scores. The format of this thread was mangled since Mike updated to the new website style a few years ago, so it's hard to tell. Let me know if your name shows up in the right sections. Might I interest you in Speed Konging? A little something I made up some time ago you can read about here: mpanayiotakis.proboards.com/thread/2867/speed-kong-ranking-chartsAsh PS: Don't erase your post. It's good to have the photo evidence.

Thank you. I spent a few hours playing each to get those scores. I think I've spent the most time playing Donkey Kong II, but I find Mario Bros. to be the hardest(once it hits 800 points on either game it goes crazy).
I've uploaded my times on Donkey Kong II & Jr. By the way, your time on Donkey Kong Jr. Game A is awesome.
If you say so, I'll keep the pictures up; I just thought my post was getting very long.
I'll be adding a score for Donkey Kong II Game A, and a new score for Mario Bros. Game A later; I'm just trying to improve them a little more first.
Edit: I should clarify, I have spent a bit of time over the years playing Donkey Kong Jr. & Mario Bros. on the Gallery collections, and the Super Mario Bros. Mini Classic; above I meant that I have played each actual Game & Watch for a few hours.
I've been wanting to buy some Game & Watch games for the last decade, but I've always hesitated due to the price. Recently though, I decided to go through with it, and start buying some when I had the chance; it's only been a little over 2 weeks since I've received my first 2 in the mail.
Edit 2: I was planning to put them in a new post, but I guess I'll add this one here; I got a new high score of 1024 on Mario Bros. Game A. I'm still working on Donkey Kong II Game A.
Edit 3: I got a score of 1447 on Donkey Kong II Game A. Unless I can somehow overcome those excellent Donkey Kong Jr. scores, I probably won't be posting any more scores until I get another Game & Watch.

I just had my best game on Donkey Kong Jr. Game B, and finally managed a high score; I got double points at 300, had a single miss cleared at 1300, and got double points again at 2300. Around 2700 is where things started to go bad, but I ended with a score of 2907.
I'm still nowhere close to the Game A high score. I've played this game more than I care to admit at this point...
Edit: Instead of sleep, I had to play some more Donkey Kong Jr.(I'm very tired right now); I finally surpassed the Game A high score, with 4718 points. I guess now I truly am finished, until I get a new Game & Watch.

Hey Rich, I've no idea how you got 4718, but well done. My best score on game A is 400 and something, no where near your score. I can score 3000+ on DK. JB

Thank you; on that particular game I got to over 2000 without making a mistake, and at each time you hit 300(1300,2300, etc.) you can get any misses cleared.
That's a fantastic Donkey Kong score; I've only played Donkey Kong on the Gallery/Collection games, but my high score is only 2247 on Collection.
Multi-thousand point games sure take a while to play, don't they? I think that one game of Jr. took me around one hour.

Hi Rich, I can't remember exactly how long it took to reach 3000+ but it's got to be at least a good hour. You tend to loose track of time when you are concentrating. I've never played on the Gallery/Collection before, do the games play the same?

Hello!
I don't have any of the actual Game & Watches featured in Collection, but from what I can tell, they seem to be pretty good simulations. I really don't think simulations are ever going to be perfect, but I found Collection to be satisfying. I have only played the first Collection.
The games in the Gallery series definitely leave a bit to be desired; due to being on Gameboy(& Advance) they don't look nearly as good, and they're definitely some issues in the simulations. I have played all four of the Gallery games, and I'll note some issues I've noticed below.
Donkey Kong Jr. - I've noticed one major issue; if you kept left held after moving onto the space before the key, when you press jump Jr. will not leap for the key.
Donkey Kong II - I haven't spent too much time playing the Gallery version of this game. Looks quite poor, thanks to squishing two screens onto one; one screen is slightly larger than the other, and you can press a button to toggle which one it is.
Mario Bros. - The Gallery version is SO MUCH EASIER than the actual Game & Watch; I can break 1000 points without making a mistake on Gallery Game A or B, while on an actual Game & Watch it is extremely hard to break 1000 at all.
They also have a few games available for download on the DSi/3DS; I've only played Vermin, which I also don't own an actual Game & Watch of, but it seems comparable in quality to the Collection games.
