@andy
Oh....I really don't know Howard Jones still releases records. I know Nik Kershaw did. HJ was one of my 80's favourite, and while I have disposed of most vinyl records (regret), I still keep HJ's Hide and Seek 12"!

I loved the music of HJ as well. Not to forget Jennifer Rush, Flying Pickets, Duran Duran, Kool & The Gang, Chicago, Eurythmics... this list almost is endless!
Patrick
Edit: The 80's had such great music. In my opinion, it never was better. Close to it is the music of the 70's.

As a kid I had: - The Smurfs - Star Wars (was given to me by a girl at school) - He-man - Inspecteur Gadget - Les Mysterieuses Cites d'Or But never got the Ulysse 31 I was dying for! I remember my mum couldn't find it ... Got another one instead. And certainly other I don't remember More recently: - The Simpsons - Ranma 1/2 - Hamtaro I'm still waiting for a SpongeBob release though! Ah pretty addicting!

I can't believe that people discuss the 80s in a game related forum without anyone mentioning NES (Nintendo's 8 bit system). Mario, Zelda, Metroid and all the others gave me so much fun. I bought a NES a couple of years ago and I play those games alot more than I play my G&Ws. NES, skateboarding, grafitti and hip hop (Run DMC, LL, Kool Moe Dee, Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, Biz Markie etc etc) was probably my favourite things in the 80s (or atleast the second half of it). And G&Ws of course.
