Well, it only started happening since you activated the snow......
Can you at least increase the timeout to 10 secs, so I can move around the boards and miss the snow most of the time?
Andy.

Anyone else having serious problems or is it just Brendan ? Btw, IE is known to have problems with this script (but what's new about this 4-year old browser!) so I suggest you use another one like Opera or latest version of Firefox. IE is obsolete anyway and with the latest changes Microsoft made to make it more secure (sic) it's unbelievably irritating..

Download Firefox & use it only for the forum. You can easily set its homepage to the forum & uncheck it as default browser(click "Tools", "options"). Also grab extensions like Fasterfox, NoScript & IE View to speed up & tweak Firefox . Cheers, TBW .

Ok, for the record, I have used firefox, I do use firefox, but it just does not intergrate and have challenge responce windows password athentication, and support java as well as IE, as well as other plugins that I require to do my work...
I'm sure Mike has the stats on how many hits he's getting and from what browser, I know from the sites I run, the IE percentage is quite high.

I'm with Brendan. Surely you don't want to inconvenience members just for some stupid snow effect?
Andy.

What inconvenience ? The 3 secs it gets for another browser to start ? I have to say that I'm amazed so many people still use IE. Opera is about 300% faster!
Anyway, I have downloaded some other snow scripts and I'll test them today.

I mean the inconvenience of having to go and download another browser that you're hardly going to use, and in my case, doesn't work. I'm referring to Firefox in this case. I haven't tried Opera because I don't want the ads, and I just can't be bothered. Which is exactly the reason why most people still use IE Andy.

No ads any more in Opera Andy. It's now a free browser.

The other snow scripts don't work with this board so I've disabled it for all IE users. If some people use IE and still see the snow, please let me know!

I have no problems with the snow script, although I think it is an unnecessary feature.
