Heya guys,
I think the new features are a reall improvement. I really like the Karma rating and I also think it's easier to jump through threads with multiple pages. What do you think?

I've always liked the board and it got some good improvements with the update. Being able to jump through the threads easier is nice.

It'll take some getting used to, for example, I keep scrolling through the pages of a theread when I used my mouse scroll button, but I like what I've seen, especially the breadcrumbs back to the topic sections at the top, the quick reply and the birthdays. Mine's in 2 days! Shame there's no smileys in the quick reply, though. Andy.

Yes, some really good new features on the new board. Like: Karma. The quick reply feature. The extra info about people below their posts and on the main page (like birthdays). The search on the main page. I know there's a heap more - can't think of them... There are also some that I'm not quite accustomed to yet, and maybe it's either a matter of adjusting some code ( ) or just getting used to them! Like: The Top 50 List being in a table (the font is larger and the table has a border of "1", plus some cellspacing too). The new black borders around each post. You need to reset your notifications (if any). I know I've come across more... pulse8

I'm not sure if that was included in the previous proboards version but now you can click on the date of the last post and the forum will take you to the very last post of a thread! This works only inside each forum not from the main page.
The tables have been slightly changed but they appear very nice in Opera. What browser do you use Innis ?

The TOP 50 List is now in a visible table, whereas in proboards V3 it wasn't. The text in the TOP 50 table was all lined up neatly underneath eachother, but now each cell of the table is separated by table lines, and the font is much larger than before. I'm using Firefox 1.0.4 (the latest one). I'll get used to it... pulse8

Err.. Innis suffice to say that I can't change it - at least I can't find a way to! I'll keep checking it out though!

The top 50 table loos different to me as well. Has borders around it ant the writing is slightly bigger. Not a problem to me, though, I have 1600x1200 I use MSIE A very minor dislike, though, that you have to log in to the private area to see if anyone's posted there. The main forum list doesn't show you the last time anyone posted unless you log in. OK, so it only takes me an extra 10 seconds, but time is precious! Andy.

Andy, I didn't notice this one and it seems to be serious. You mean that even if someone posts in the private forum, there will be no information about it in the main page ? Have you noticed if this is constant or did it happen only the first time you logged in the private forum ?
Michael
P.S. Happy Birthday!

Even after I thought it had "fixed itself". pulse8

Same here ... It says "topics 0, posts 0". When I log in to the private forum, I see there are actually new posts.
Happy birthday Andy! ;D

Pieter, there haven't been any new posts there since April. I can't verify what you guys are saying. It seems fine to me. Are you always logged in to the board ? Do you visit the private forum and after you logout and you login back again, you experience this problem ? Do you experience it if you leave the page without logging out and come back again ?
Problem is that this kind of problem hasn't been reported in the main proboards support forum either!

I log into the forum with a permanent cookie, but obviously I still have to provide a password for the private forum. Without entering that password each time I visit this forum I see no data for the private area. Once I have entered the private area with the password, I can come out and see the forum data. Once I close my browser and re-visit the info is gone again.
Andy.
