The upgrade is over and I would like to thank you for your patience. It will take some time before I make all the alterations to the scripts so that everything runs smoothly though. One of the things I've noticed is that custom member titles no longer work and for the time being they will be displayed along the normal titles until I find out how to correct it.
This upgrade brings a lot of interesting stuff to the forum, one of them is the "Quick Reply" which is a very nice feature imho. There are others, but we will discuss them as we go along.

Hi Mike,
My account has been suspended because the new board ask for you birth date when you log in. I didn't want to give my real birth date then I entered 01/01/2000 as my birth date. Immediately, my account has been suspended because accordind to the "US laws", people under 13 are not allowed to use this board?!
I tried to log in with my old account but it does not exist anymore.
I think you should warn the forumers about this issue.
Thomas.

Hmm.. Thomas, I really can't understand why anyone would choose not to reveal his birthdate. After all you can hide it from all the other users anyway. It's not like the board is asking for your address or any other intimate details or anything! But I see that there's cause for concern so anyone should be very careful when re-registering.

Hmm... Mike, privacy means something to you?

I'm probably just being thick, but we seem to have lost the ability to go backwards and forwards between threads. ie the "view next thread" button. Have I missed something? It's really annoying....

Come on Thomas, you're exaggerating! I'm the only one who can check your birthdate. What would I do with that ? Btw, you can change your displayed username to Badoshin.
Jon, do you mean you used to check every thread regardless of the existence of new posts ?

Hmm... Mike, privacy means something to you? Why not make up a birthdaydate which makes you older than 13, but which still isn't your real birthdaydate? You could have chosen 12-12-1912? sAner Ps-Mike; how does the Karma thing work? edit: Already figured it out: Exalt adds a postive point, Smithe adds a negative point.

No - I meant that I used to start by checking the "newest" post, and once I'd read that I would follow the link to the "next" post. This way I efficiently caught up on all the action since my last visit. Now I have to manually click on each individual thread (from the main page) which is just not so user-friendly, and it has the possibility that I might miss one..... Sounds like I'm the only one bothered though......

Hmm.. I always browsed the board this way Jon so I couldn't notice what you're saying. But I'm sure that there will be minor alterations to the board's code soon. I'll keep you posted on the changes.
Pieter, that's right, the words might be misleading if you don't know english very well, I had to look both up at a dictionary to understand how they work. Exalt is like appraise and Smite.. well, the opposite..
