About my Rainshower, I was really hesitating when I put my auction. For me a game is NEW if it hasn't been played or just been tried to be sure it works. Since this game come from an old shop who bought it from another old shop, I consider it is still new. But as explained in my description, it is not totaly perfect, so I've chosen to put NIB on the title instead NEW for my other auctions, and make a clear description. I think it's fair.

I have recently been involved in an auction involving misleading information, however I want to make it clear that the point of this post is NOT to have a go at the seller. Since I received the item, he has bent over backwards to try and help me. ;D I use it to demonstrate the dangers of not asking questions first: cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2541&item=3168909675It turns out that the instructions being sold with this auction were photocopies, and not original. After initially expressing suspicion (and anger ) about this to my seller, it became obvious that this was a genuine mistake, and not a blatant attempt to misrepresent. Strange though it seems to me, he didn't realise they were copies, and had bought the game from someone else a couple of years back. At no point had I asked for verification about the instructions (because it didn't seem necessary) - All the evidence pointed to the fact that they were original, because the seller hadn't said that they WEREN'T !!) The seller has (very kindly) offered to help me find an original set of english instructions for this game. Question is, how much should they cost? I reckon it would cost $x0 to replace original english instructions for this game. He thinks I am thinking of too high a number for "a piece of paper". Anyone care to put a figure on their "worth", or better still sell me a copy for $x0 !! cheers guys.

Jon, it's difficult to estimate as I've never seen snoopy tabletop instructions going for sale. I think it should be worth about $30. The problem is that you would have to buy a boxed item to get one so it might cost you more than you think.. Just settle this with a partial refund. Btw, here's an auction with the shortest description possible : cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3173248826&category=1185Michael

Who here would be game enough to bid on this Rainshower with virtually no description, no picture and a zero rating seller.
It could be a piece of junk, but then again it could be MIB.

@michael. I've seen a shorter description than that before. A French seller once wrote "voir photo". Lazy or what ;D @alan. The Rainshower is unboxed, I just had to ask the seller @jon. Hopefully you received my reply email about this. Just to re-cap for everyone: Unless otherwise clearly stated, ALL items sold on eBay are assumed to be original and genuine. The seller is responsible for everything they sell even if they don't realise the instructions are copied. /QJ

Ok, sometimes I can accept it when a seller exaggerates about his items and I can attribute that to his lack of knowledge about them but I can't accept it when a reputed and professional power seller does the same thing : cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3077507221&category=50221He uses the term MIB in most of his auctions. Does MIB means "item has only some scrapes and surface blemishes on the front sticker and inside and the closing clip has been snapped" ? Don't think so.. Michael

Hey Michael, I think we should give the seller the benefit of the doubt, after-all he is technically correct - it is eBay mint ;D ...MIB can also mean " minger in box" too ;D QJ

Hello I to know a story about this seller : cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3077507221&category=50221he sold a MIB Micky & Donald for near £100 and my mate told me when he got it the dam thing had NO battery cover. If you read this offworld you are BAD SELLER not a power seller that you must have got from joining the US site as in UK wee need to sell £6000 a month to get power seller. Remember everyone Powerseller just means he`s ripped alot of people off ( rip offworld ) On another note that Pinball with no BOX I said to him maybe he should have said MICB mint in cardboard box :-) then again its still far from mint

The eBay "Powerseller" is a joke anyway.
What's stopping the seller from having other multiple ID's, and using these ID's to drive up the market price either by shilling or not paying thus preventing others from getting a good deal.
This one of eBay's many flaws IMHO.

Pieter, that's the seller who gave me my only negative after I gave him a neutral for selling me a defective popeye Panorama with flickering LCD screen. Please do not buy from Jmack. He's bad news
