Hi all I am new to the forum and new to collecting (sort of). I have been collecting for about nine years now but not hardcore just buying them when I come across them at boot fairs and that. I have three spare Donkey Kong's (one scrap) and one spare Mario Bros which aren't pictured. I have never paid more than £5 for a G&W so I guess my collection doesn't look so bad when you think of it like that. ;D Every year it seems to get harder and harder to find them at boot fairs I only found two last year and three this year but I had two of them already. So I am starting to realize I am going to have to start paying market value if I want increase my collection. Donkey Kong 2, Manhole (Blue), Squish and Turtle Bridge are missing there battery covers so if anyone has any for sale please let me know. Ace.

Hi ace, You have quite an impressive collection for paying less than 5 pounds for each game! A boxed fire for that price is really good. Keep it up! paul05

Welcome to the board Ace! So, you've paid 70 pounds for all of them ? That's d**n good! Ebay still offers some bargains if you've got the patience!

Hi Ace Well done on your perseverance! I started collecting purely from boot sales and the occurences of them at sales peaked in 1999 and 2000 when I got about 20 each year. After that, the numbers dropped drastically to about 5 or 6 a year. I put this down to ebay; either people sold their games on ebay instead of taking them to a bootsale or other people bought them from the sales before me. After that, I stopped going to boot sales regularly because it was cheaper to buy 5 games a year from ebay than to use all that petrol! Your collection is typical bootsale fodder - multiscreens and widescreens. I bet you were quite excited when you found the Donkey Kong hockey! Like Mike said, you can get games quite cheaply on ebay, a lot of the common ones for less than a tenner each, loose, so continue to be patient and don't get too carried away! Enjoy the bargains! Andy.

Thanks for the kind words all. I am still waiting for that list Andy. ;D I'd say my collection cost around £50 in total maybe a little less (some I've got for 50p). I actually found Donkey Kong Hockey at a local auction mixed in with a box of crap. I left a bid of £15 I think and got it for £10 and ended up making a profit selling some other bits that were in the box. The picture of Fire makes it look better than it really is the end flat is missing and the poly is broken but the system is perfect so not bad for £3. Ace.

Before the G&W buying bug. After the G&W buying bug. ;D I want to replace the boxes on the top row in each picture at some point. Bought them cheap(ish) in a job lot not really knowing what condition they were in. Good thing was most of them had all there paperwork. Best buy was probable the complete Donkey Kong Circus which was about £45 inc postage. Ace.

I found a it on german ebay, it was badly listed as it just said Donkey Kong so most people probable thought it was DK Jr.
It had hardly any hits so I emailed the seller with an offer and the rest is history. ;D

Hi Ace, Your collection is looking very nice starting with the quite MINT LOOSE games, the Boxed Panoramas and Boxed Lifeboat! The Donkey Kong Circus that cost you about £45 inc postage is ULTRA LOW as I got mine for around 4X that price in similar condition recently and it's quite cheap already Kevin P.S. Do you mind telling us if the DKC had any box flaps missing, paperwork, styrofoam, if game has both serial # and battery cover?

Sure thing, the box has all it's flaps it came with styrofoam, manual, warning sheet (but the battery cover stickers sheet is stuck to the back of it). The system is in very good condition with battery cover and serial #, the only thing is the sun filter thingy is a little discoloured.
