Hey you guys ... I kinda liked these little cabinets. Hope you like them too. ;D It all started with the two games above (JR-55 and DJ-101) back on a cold night in November 2002. I had won my first g&w auction on E-bay that day (I won JR-55) and as the seller lived on the way from my work to my home, I decided to pick the game up. I knew the seller also had a loose DJ-101 which hadn't sold on e-bay the day before and I decided to buy that game from him too. That day the madness was triggered and altough I now have boxed versions of both games in way better condition than these two, I could never part with them. I kept them and now I am glad as my girlfriend found the above display cabinets at IKEA's. There's actually glass in front. A multiscreen fits in just right (as you can see) and a New Widescreen has more than enough space. The two little display boxes now hang on the wall of my computerroom, above my g&w cupboard, which features my main collection. I have two more little display cabinets like the ones above and I hope to fill them soon with a DK-52 and an MW-56! ;D Regards sAner

Haha Paul! ;D I thought about that but my gf doesn't want 60 holes in the wall. I managed to pursuade her to buy 4 of these little cabinets but that was really it! Cheers! sAner

Just one point you may want to consider. I have a simillar display unit, but bigger for multiple units. I have a mirror installed in the back and I use glass shelfs, and I use my own custom made "wire" stands, so you can see the back of the unit from the reflection in the glass.... custom stands are easy to bend from fence wire etc, and are way better than the crap stands that G&W's come with. i.e your second display case would look better with 2 units in it seperated by a glass shelf slipped into "groves" cut on the sides with a saw.... and a nice mirror back.... it helps give the unit more "depth" here is part of my unit...... I have 2 glass selfs, and the unit is seperated down the middle. I think in the long run once I've decided if I want my boxes in the light I'll get a more commercial unit. -B

That IKEA shelf that linux has shown a picture of is EXACTLY the one I have. Bought it a couple of months ago for AU$199. Looks great! No light in the ceiling of it (yet), but it is quickly becoming chock-full of nice boxed items ;D I might put a pic of my collection in the cabinet before too long... pulse8

You do that Innis! I would love to see a picture! Btw:your repairsection is WICKED!! ;D Super! Great pictures. Man, you were so brave to open up a tabletop and a pano! I will have to update my repairsection aswell any time soon. Slash: I am only putting 4 games on the wall (the first 2 I ever collected (JR-55 and DJ-101) and the ones I like best (DK-52 and MW-56)) therefore I want to keep them separated (i.e. 4 boxes). The mirrorpart is a cool feature. I might try and put a mirror on the back. Thanks for your suggestion! Btw: my little cabinets have a shield of glass in front. You probably can't notice because my gf gave them a VERY good wipe with glassex. Regards, sAner

Thanks, sAner, for the feedback! Now that I read my last post to myself again, what I was trying to say (although I'm sure everyone knew what I meant) was that I'll try to post a pic of my collection as it is displayed in the cabinet, not "put a pic in my cabinet"... You know... pulse8

Very funny! sAner

sAner, lots of reasons, glass was to expensive, it would have looked bad etc...
In the end I realised that one day I'm getting a good store unit, so why stuff about 2 much.

I wouldn't bother to put more on the wall. Too expensive and too much hassle. sAner
