Here is the Xmas Special...... All I know is the person selling it said it was a present for xmas (obviously!) to her husband from his mum? It's in very good condition, with a little mark on it (maybe to make ot look authentic?) I've seen two now, so is it real? The jury is out. It comes with the instructions, 2 x pink slips and the baby stickers. On the stamp it says 'Happy Christmas Shipmates'. The box is well put together (see pic), so it was a professional job, but is this a recent professional job or an original? Anyway enjoy......

I think it's highly unlikely this box has anything to do with Nintendo. More likely a store or distributor had some unboxed (OEM?) games and had a marketing plan to shift them at xmas! The green stuff that looks like tissue paper is tacky and just not good enough to protect the game, nintendo wouldn't have used it. Just my opinion.
Then again, just because it's not nintendo, doesn't mean it's not worth having, it's a talking point. I'll surely want some of those figurines Torsten just bought!

I agree Andy, I don't think Nintendo had anything to do with it.
It was obvioulsy a marketing gimmic for christmas. Or worse completely fake!!
As you say, it's talking point.

I think it would be best if we discussed this in the gw stuff forum but anyway, judging by the big staples and the lack of a foam I can say that I'm sure 100% that this box wasn't made by Nintendo. The word "shipmates" puzzles me though..

Mike, I understand what you mean now, got confused about where you wanted to dicuss this!! Anyway, back to the collection. I've moved the second update (that I posted a little while back) of the collection onto the first page, post no 1. Just so all the pic's and updates remain in the same place. I'll just add thing's onto the end of it now and put a updated date on it. It's getting a bit long now!!!!! New today are the 3 white YM901 box's which currently house a YM901, US Golf Disk and a Japan Golf disk. I just need one more for the Stationary Set and then that's all four prizes completed with box. The link is here, cheers, Paul mpanayiotakis.proboards19.com/index.cgi?board=collections&action=display&thread=1077707688&start=0

Do we know for sure that the other 'Disk-kun' prizes came in the same white boxes? If not, you've spent $1100 on each box to complete a set that isn't even correct!!
p.s. I get $1100 by taking away the price you'd get for a loose 901 from the price you paid for the boxed ones.
Andy.

Ha Ha Innis, I'll see what I can do? Andy, That's a good question, I remember somewhere seeing or hearing about all the prizes coming in the box's. But to be honest I don't know where. If it's not the case, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. I love the box's and as I have collected all the prizes, I want to store them in the box's. And they fit!!! ;D By the way where did you get $1100 from? Check this link, I paid $921 for the lot! Bargin cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5920057292&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:ITWhat's your value on a ym901 with the instructions? I'd say a minimum of $600 if you are unlucky. If your talking about the one I bought of Aka, then that was $1600 all in with the poster and all sorts. I'm keeping that. I can't remember what the other one was - it might be the one you are refering to? No, just found the other one... $1225 with the instructions and winners letter, plus stickers, how much for that without the box? cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5929493433&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:ITAnyway - Ruth, this is one for you or Wilson. Can you translate the following? It has the words US in it, so is this refering to the US Golf Disk?

Sorry for my crappy figures and lack of research, then, I was sure I'd seen you pay about $1600 a couple of times. Perhaps that was with some extras. That $921 was a bargain I suppose but I still wouldn't pay that much. Still, you're happy and that's all that matters! Andy.
