Hi Roz,
The purple ones are from Japan I think? I'd have to look at the FAQ to confirm.
Anyway they were spare, so I just stuck em in. I guess I'll have to work out what they really go with.
Cheers,
Paul

Ahh perhaps that explains also why yuor box says "Super Mario Bros" and mine only says YM105

Erm. I'm not too sure why there is a difference with the number and name?
Does anyone know?

Perhaps the name was only added if it wasn't Friday afternoon, or within 10 minutes of "morning smoke-o" ;D pulse8

There were in fact two versions of the OEM super mario. I don't know which is which though.. Now, regarding the battery packets.. I think there's a problem here. The purple packet holds two LR43 batteries and from what I know super mario was never released with LR43 batteries. There's great possibility that this packet wasn't part of the boxed oem super mario you've got Paul. Since no games were released in Japan after 1985 and this packet was produced after 1990, it doesn't originate from Japan. I've seen this packet before in european wide screen releases (barcode on the box). Michael

Cheers Pieter,
I've still got to sort out my website!!

Take it easy,

Thanks Maurice,
Long time no speak, hope you are well.
I got your email and yes Thursday has gone and I haven't listed it, so I'll leave it for a while.
It's a good job I'm useless at doing things when I say I will. ;D

@ Mike, apparently Roz say's that the OEM Box came with the green backing / white writing? Ties in with the release dates. She also says that they didn't come with instructions? Roz, how do you know this to be true? @ Everyone - Just added to the end of the pictures my CGL Collection (just the 4!!) Check out the Headache!!! I'm not 100% sure, but I might go for the CGL's. Why? I don't know. Regards, Devster

Dev I had to take the word of a guy who had 35 of these all new and all without instructions... what would he have gone with 35 copies of the YM105 manual??
And if he was into pilfering bits wouldn't the stickers, poly bag, multiscreen foam and caution leaflet be more usefl since they could be patched together with other games?

Yes, I've seen ym-105 boxes without instructions before but the ones I've got came with them. Anyway, maybe the second patch didn't inlcude any. Roz, which version was that ? What did the box have on the front and back ?
Paul, you're interested in CGL games because, let me guess, you're british ? ;D
Btw, I've got a very nice Boxed CGL DKJr tabletop (pretty rare this one) and a boxed CGL mario's bombs away game for sale.. ;D

Michael, A yes and no really, I suppose being british is a reason, but not the main reason. But as it appears to be the only reason I can think of, then I guess you are right ;D CGL's huh, I'll check em out and see what we can do Paul

Devster,
Can you send me or post up a pic of the 3D Rally Disk you got recently.
I just got mine and it appears to be un opened and i dare not try to open it.
I say this becuase on the back the yellow sticker apparantly when open leaves silver sticker marks showing that it has been opened. <<not too sure if i have explained it clearly.
