Hi All, Because the silver and gold series are very comparable and the same goes for the Tabletop and the Panorama games AND because of forum restrictions (one has 8 options max!), I came to the options you can now pick. I love polls, so expect more to come! -> Is that okay Mike? sAner ;D

I think probably the multi-screens would be my all time favourites, but I love the designs of the crystal screen series. A Donkey Kong crystal would of been the best IMHO QJ N.B. For some reason, when I went to vote in the poll it automatically selected the Silver/Gold series, I was trying to vote for the multiscreen....

I agree wholeheartedly with you innocent_foxterrier! I just love the design and the smart idea about the pano's and the tabletops! That's why I picked those series too! QJ: I don't understand why it went wrong with your choice .... Well, at least one person voted for silver/gold now! sAner

Hi all,
I love the ikle boxes on the silver and gold, but I would have to say that the crystals are the sexiest looking games around.
Devster.

I have a question [not worthy of a new thread]
Why is it the Crystal screen are so expensive?..for how long could you get them in shops and how much were they when they were released?
Did they cost much more than the other G&W's?

If my memory does not play tricks on me a crystalscreen cost 99,99 Dutch guilders, that's the equivalent of about 45 euros (29,99 Pounds) and that was more than twice as much as f.e. a Widescreen or a new Widescreen. I guess that's why crystals didn't sell very much. In the 1980's 100 guilders was A LOT of money in The Netherlands and most parents couldn't or wouldn't afford that kind of money back then. You must not forget that the first half of the 80's featured a VERY weak economy, worldwide, with loads and loads unemployed workers.

Same thing here in Greece. People couldn't afford Nintendo games so other (cheaper) imitations sold a lot. It's rather obvious that the crystal games are more expensive to make so they must had been very expensive to buy too. From what I can remember, you could buy the games in the shops till the beginning of the 90s..

Is this voting for 'best looking G&W series' or 'most fun to play G&W series'? There's a big difference IMHO. I like the outlook of the table tops best. They do have that retro look like Nelsonry said. A bit of an echo from the 60's perhaps? Most fun to play IMO are the widescreens. They show what the G&Ws are about: reflexes and strategy (couldn't find better English words) Ofcourse, in the end, I like 'em all .

Krystaf: Initially I meant this Poll to investigate what the members of this forum thought was the best series OVERALL. So every aspect counts, looks, playability, rarity, etc. You should just pick the series which you think is the best when you weigh all aspects.

Ok. Then it has to be the widescreens. Playability and childhood memories surpass outlook this time.
