Anyone know or remember the UK G&W collector Andy Cole with the white spitball sparky in his collection? His site seems to have died now so not sure if he's sold up and moved his interests elsewhere but I always wondered about this game. He had no information on this game and was just as puzzled as everyone else about its origin. Anyone seen one or know anything about this item ? Also is it true that Gunpei Yokoi named this game after his pet cat ?!?!?

Hey MonkeyGreen Why don't you ask this question to taki. Apparently he has a white spitball sparky in his collection. Ask him for some pictures if you require them. Right now I would be happy with a regular spitball sparky! -Matt

Monkeygreen,
I remember that white Spitball Sparky. Wild stories were told about the White Sparkys. Some people thought the silver had just worn off but most of us disagreed with that because there wasn't any silver left on the unit. Even when people would have done it on purpose, they couldn't have done such a great job. Then people thought the white Sparkys were prototypes. And then there were people who thought the few white sparkys were released as some sort of gift.
Southbomb,
I have an extra regular loose Spitball Sparky. The only drawback is that it doesn't have the right color b/c. It does have it's original s/n though and it works fine. I would rather like to trade it. If you're not interested I'll put it up for auction on e-bay lateron. sAner

I wouldn't want to speculate if it does exist or not.
I've never seen a white Spitball Sparky and as far as I know nobody has ever produced a picture of one either.

Andy cole did have a picture on his website a couple of years ago of the white sparky, it showed the front and back and it looked quite authentic.....

Hm...interesting Leigh.
It would also been interesting to see the serial number which might give a clue if it has a low production number.
I see it's in an Italian box, wonder if it originally came in that?
The most logical explaination in my eyes is that it's a production fault when spraying on the silver coating to the plastic case and nobody noticed it during quality control.

Ramrodius had one too before he decided to sell his collection. If anyone remembers the link to his site, let us know, I think he had a photo of it there.

Yes, I just saw that it's the same photo. But ramrodius owns this one for sure. He, in fact, asked me if I would like to buy it when he decided to sell his items. But I didn't know how much to offer.. I had never seen one before.. Michael

I have a question for you all:
If you get the opportunity to own a white spitball sparky, would you seize that opportunity? If yes; what are you prepared to pay for it?

£120 / $200 but only if it was NIB (with my beloved "english" instructions - what are the chances?) Otherwise I don't (personally) see the point Hell, I could create the same effect with any of my crappy c6 Spitballs........ with some Tippex. Oh yeah. BTW does anyone else find that the supercolor series have terrible LCDs (and I mean every single one I've ever come across). Plus Crab Grab is a god-awful game. Sparky, though - He the man!

Hi! I personally wouldn't want one, as you can get a regular spitball sparky for LOTS less..

Jon, I think that a NIB white spitball should cost more than what you suggested since it's a rather rare item. I would like to get my hands on one but it's not a priority for me (plus that noone has put one for sale the last two years ). Michael
