Hi everyone! I'm not a real "new" member of this forum. I've posted several messages a few years ago with the name "Flo". But when I tried to log in myself last day, impossible to get logged. And my mail has changed since my last connection. So, I create a new login. Sorry for that. So, I'm Florent (Flo), a 29 years old French Guy and love Nintendo's history. I've lived for 6 years in Japan for studies and work and during my free times, I made lots of investigation about Nintendo's History by meeting a lot of Nintendo's employees, searching for funny things etc. Last year, I created my own publishing company with two friends of mine and published several books. Here is one which may interest you: L'histoire de Nintendo (Volume 1) (Nintendo's History) 228 pages of real new stuff about Nintendo's History: from 1889 to 1980. Thousands of forgotten toys, games, amazing machines, cards, all from Nintendo. The last 6 pages quickly presents the 59 models of G&W. It tooks me 6 years to write this book and all the Nintendo's people loved it (Iwata himself does really like it). Ok, sorry it's in French but there is so much pictures that there is many ways for reading it (Mike, do you speak french, right?). Well, I'm here because the Volume 2 of this serie will concern G&W, of course. 200 pages of real great information, with many interviews of the developpers from nintendo and many details about "secret" g&w. I'm sure you will love it. It's not finished yet and I may need your help for a few things. So, "yoroshiku" as Japanese people say. More details, here: editionspixnlove.fr

Hi Andycole, Thanks a lot! And Happy Birthday. As I told you a few weeks ago, I need some help from some of you here and hope you will cooperate. I will send some private messages. I realise that I'm not a "real" member of this forum and that you may ask "why should we help you ? We don't know about you ! Are you a real G&W fan or just an opportunist?" Well, I may accord you that I don't come here very often. Because I usually go to french or Japanese written forums. It's been 6 years that I'm writting a really funny "History Of Nintendo" and my next step will be The History of the Game & Watch. I made a lot of interviews with Nintendo's people. The same people who participated to the creation of G&W 29 years ago... It may sound a little bit "haughty" but this 200 pages G&W history book will become a great book. The first Issue received a real success and many of the great creators from Nintendo loved it. My japanese collectors friends and I have a lot of great documentation and archives but we do confess that our collections are focused on Nintendo's Playing Cards, Toys, Games and "international" version of the G&W. So, we miss a lot of "box", "scans" of the JI21, Tricotronic, MGA, Carded versions, Pocketsize versions... I really need your help! Of course, all the people who contributed for that will be credited in the book and receive copies (sorry, I can't pay with real money...) The Book must be released at the beginning of July so I'm in a big hurry... So, I hope you will understand my motivation and accept to collaborate with an incognito people... See you soon!

I think it's great work and I hope I see it sometime translated to english! Why did you use a fake game on the cover? Michael Hi Michael, Well, there is no particular reason, you know. I do love G&W and I wanted one unique model on the cover. People loving G&W do have their own favorite model. So, I didn't wanted them to tell me "you should have put Oil Panic rather than Donkey Kong II!". It's a parody of Mario Bros, Green House and Donkey Kong models. The first cover of the "Nintendo's History" was orange and I wanted the second one green. That's all. Need it for the fake contest? It's a 3D illustration.

Hi,
I must say that it looks fantastic. Just one remark. I see you've made a page about pocketsize versions. On that page I see a pic of the NOA Spitball. We can argue if it is a pocketsize version, but if you include that one, you should also include the NOA Grab Crab, NOA DK Hockey and the NOA Punch-out. Maybe you can still squeeze them in?

Hi Florent,
The book looks amazing! Keep up the great work! I'd be interested in getting one, how much are you planning on selling them for?
I'd have to agree with Rene about the whole NOA/PS thing. If you're going to include the NOA SS, then, you really should add the other 3 NOA games that we know exist, and as a matter of fact, there's a PS game that appears to have been omitted (hint, it's the rarest one!). My suggestion, if I may, would be to straighten the PS Fire game, remove the NOA SS and replace it with the omitted PS game. And maybe you can add another page for the NOA games and if you need a filler, you could always include the white SS and CG games that we know exist (if they're not already mentioned/pictured in a separate section of the book.

Hi everybody!
Thanks for your notes. You're right. I wasn't sure how to process with PS and NOA models... Put them together or in a different page? (I explain in the text the link between PS and NOA). I will think more about it and find a nice way. Thank you!
