Don't know if it belongs here but you can download 6 G&W games from itunes onto your itouch\iphone. They are
chef egg fire octopus parachute Helmet
Currently Helmet is the only free one the others you have to pay.
Just do a search for GW and they will appear in the search list

Nice! Do you have any photos? Are they 3rd party simulators of some kind or were they released by Nintendo?

I have all of them and they are quite well done. I'm also at 1st position at the highscores page of one of the games RacerX

I've searched around a bit and it seems that they're not released or endorsed by Nintendo. I wonder if they'll take any action about it although from what we've seen in the past they don't seem to care a lot about such releases..

Yesterday I entered the website and it says that Nintendo requested the removal of the simulators from the appstore: C&P: "Nintendo requested the removal of Mobile 1UP's classic versions of the gw-games due to potential copyright infringement. They are currently being removed from sale within the iPhone App Store." www.mobile1up.com/They removed all 6 G&W simulators and now they are releasing G&W similar games with quite poor appearance in my opinion.. I have the 6 classic games.... I hope not to loose them with the next update or something.... RacerX

Hmm.. although I hate to see such nice games become unavailable, it was about time Nintendo did something for their copyrights. While they only care because they want to sell their own games it's good to know that they somehow still care about the game&watch legacy..

I felt something similar Michael.
It's a feeling similar to "G&W are still alive"

Well, it makes sense. Although N don't care about people faking boxes, that's because we're never likely to see another G&W released in it's original form, so they have nothing to lose from such infringement. They do, however, continue to release the games in other formats, like on the DS, so they don't want other digital forms being released inappropriately, at least not in a way where someone is profiting. It's always about money.
I wonder if the same thing would have happened if the games were free on iTunes? Nintendo haven't stopped people putting free simulators on the web.....

Actually there were a few simulators for other mobile phones as well, older palm devices etc. and as far as I know Nintendo did nothing about them.. Some of them weren't freeware.. It seems that they care only if they are about to release similar games for a specific platform (and they don't want the competition..).

Yes, I suppose they now have plans to keep adding to the DS collection range, so they are a bit more strict about simulators on the market.
