Welcome to Mike's Nintendo game&watch board! This board was created for all collectors or anyone interested in Nintendo's lcd handhelds and specifically for those interested in the game&watch series which thrived during the 80s. For any questions regarding this board please email me. Click here to go back to my collection site. Enjoy your stay!
The existence of this game was unknown to most of us some years ago. Amazingly more than one have surfaced since then and one white crab grab also made an appearance in Ebay! In here, we discuss the reason behind this release and whatever information we can find about it!
Thanks to Aris and other collectors, a very big serial database project is under way! The purpose of this project is to gather as many serial numbers from game&watch games as possible in order to draw various conclusions on releases, total production numbers etc. If you own any game&watch games please submit your serial numbers in here!!
Links and information on all the latest rare items that have appeared in Ebay or other sites. Only completed auctions are discussed for obvious reasons!
Link. You've seen games in
blisterpack presented here before but I'm sure you can't recall seeing one with a yellow background! Besides the MGA releases with
the Microgames logo and the other international releases which both had a blue background, there were some additional (rarer)
releases with white and yellow background colours. These don't appear for auction very often and unfortunately we don't know much
about them. There are indications that the yellow ones, like this mario's cement factory you see here were sold in the US by a
company other than microgames during mid 90s but we lack any information on the white ones. Let's hope we find some more about them
in the near future! Unfortunately this blisterpack has been opened before so $300 for it seems to be too much for collectors..

Link. It's well known that
collectors are always looking for game&watch games and boxes which are in the best condition possible. Most of the times, due to
budget limitations they are forced to settle for less but any collector would buy mint items if possible. Sealed boxes are very rare
and extremely desirable due to the immaculate condition of their contents but they usually end at high prices in auctions. As far as
we know sealed boxes were only sold in Italy. They were sealed by a sticker on either side representing the logo of the distributor,
usually OTO (older releases) or Giochi Preziosi (newer ones). They contained italian instructions, a registration card, all known
leaflets and batteries but some of them contained english instructions as well. Not that you'd want to find out if you owned one,
that is! :) End price of this very nice sealed climber was 232.89 pounds.

Link. The world of game&watch
releases is more rich than one can imagine when starting to collect the games. While only 60 different model numbers were released,
there were numerous special releases and a lot of different editions of each game. Different game colours and different box layouts
were not at all uncommon. We have one nice example of the variety in box design here. This french release seems to be different than
the other french releases we've seen in the past. The photo is probably from the back of the box and it pictures only one game (oil
panic) as opposed to the usual 3 or more on the back of other boxes. It's difficult to say whether this was a special release or not
as we have no information and no other pics of the box. Price was a bargain though at 26.50 euros!
