Welcome to Mike's Nintendo game&watch board! This board was created for all collectors or anyone interested in Nintendo's lcd handhelds and specifically for those interested in the game&watch series which thrived during the 80s. For any questions regarding this board please email me. Click here to go back to my collection site. Enjoy your stay!
The existence of this game was unknown to most of us some years ago. Amazingly more than one have surfaced since then and one white crab grab also made an appearance in Ebay! In here, we discuss the reason behind this release and whatever information we can find about it!
Thanks to Aris and other collectors, a very big serial database project is under way! The purpose of this project is to gather as many serial numbers from game&watch games as possible in order to draw various conclusions on releases, total production numbers etc. If you own any game&watch games please submit your serial numbers in here!!
Links and information on all the latest rare items that have appeared in Ebay or other sites. Only completed auctions are discussed for obvious reasons!
Link. You've seen games in
blisterpack presented here before but I'm sure you can't recall seeing one with a yellow background! Besides the MGA releases with
the Microgames logo and the other international releases which both had a blue background, there were some additional (rarer)
releases with white and yellow background colours. These don't appear for auction very often and unfortunately we don't know much
about them. There are indications that the yellow ones, like this mario's cement factory you see here were sold in the US by a
company other than microgames during mid 90s but we lack any information on the white ones. Let's hope we find some more about them
in the near future! Unfortunately this blisterpack has been opened before so $300 for it seems to be too much for collectors..

Link. It's well known that
collectors are always looking for game&watch games and boxes which are in the best condition possible. Most of the times, due to
budget limitations they are forced to settle for less but any collector would buy mint items if possible. Sealed boxes are very rare
and extremely desirable due to the immaculate condition of their contents but they usually end at high prices in auctions. As far as
we know sealed boxes were only sold in Italy. They were sealed by a sticker on either side representing the logo of the distributor,
usually OTO (older releases) or Giochi Preziosi (newer ones). They contained italian instructions, a registration card, all known
leaflets and batteries but some of them contained english instructions as well. Not that you'd want to find out if you owned one,
that is! :) End price of this very nice sealed climber was 232.89 pounds.

Link. The world of game&watch
releases is more rich than one can imagine when starting to collect the games. While only 60 different model numbers were released,
there were numerous special releases and a lot of different editions of each game. Different game colours and different box layouts
were not at all uncommon. We have one nice example of the variety in box design here. This french release seems to be different than
the other french releases we've seen in the past. The photo is probably from the back of the box and it pictures only one game (oil
panic) as opposed to the usual 3 or more on the back of other boxes. It's difficult to say whether this was a special release or not
as we have no information and no other pics of the box. Price was a bargain though at 26.50 euros!
Sander, let us know when you get the items if something looks strange to you!
Michael
Hi All,
I have received all games & items in good condition. So it's proven to me, Warren is a reliable Seller!
Also now I think it's fair to change this colum's name into " Collector on ebay selling massive Mint collection"
And remember if someone doesn't want to give serial numbers, It wil not always be a criminal
regards Sander[/quote]
Thank you sander.
It's nice to hear that not everyone here is not from a lynch mob who out to stung me from the nearest tree.
I would kindly like ( and have personally kindly written to him/her) to ask the disputer to cancel the dispute ( i have now ask him/her to request to paypal for a refund, so i can pay him/her back)
I just want to settle this as amicaible as possible.
To the disputer, Please ask paypal for a refund, not questions asked or no quibble, I be happy to proceed with this.
I have taken notes from this forum to avoid being accused of something and have learnt a lesson for my future reference
Congratulations , my machine externally it was ok , but i put new batteries , and i can´t see nothing on the screen , the sound works , but not the screen . I open a dispute on ebay , warren is telling me that if i can cancel the dispute and send the machine then he will refund me the money . I think that he should speak with paypal and tell them that he want refund me the money and then i will send the machine
Maybe warren is a good seller but my machine doesn´t work and is very sad for me because i have been looking for this machine a lot. A greeting
Hi Eljugador,
Really sad to hear your G&W is broken, I also collecting on ebay for a long time and sell and buy a lot off items and where dealing with stuff what older is than 20 years and violent postmen this stuff can easily break, but I have never started a dispute for technical problems. If there are problems I am used to figure things out with comon sense and give the seller the change to solve the problem. also often with G&W it's easy to repair. When I sell something that gets broken I would like to be treated like that too.

Re: UK mail strikes and Paypal « Result #4 Yesterday at 8:37pm »
Well, I can show you my box of games that I shipped to her. I tried to sell it here on the forum first but unfortunately I didn't get any offer at all for it. (I do prefer to sell to collectors)
So far, £950 down + Shipping AND eBay comission fees (>$100 in total, I don't know if I can get those back) Anyone got their eBay seller fees back in a situation like this?
I'm in still in contact with Paypal and Paul and I've also contacted the shipping company to see if I can get anything back from their insurance since the tracking of the parcel was lost before reaching the recipient. I still have some hope.
Edit: someone mentioned Paypal's seller protection. Well, I don't give a d**m thing for that "protection" anymore. I did everything paypal told me to (eg. ship to this specific address, parcel must have tracking, and show proof of shipping) and still they give buyer the money back no questions asked.
Thanks for that interesting bit of info. So it wasn't needed for Mickey Mouse? I don't think I've seen that logo on anything except for Popeye Pano.
Nintendo didn't acquire complete copyright privelages for all G&W games with Mickey Mouse as a character, hence why Donkey Kong Circus Panorama & Egg exist. Also, from memory, Japanese Popeye TTs also have the JASRAC sticker. Damo

I'll try to get it translated soon. I'm planning on paying a visit to a good friend of mine soon, who speaks French fluently, so, she should be able to tell me exactly what it says!!!
My money is on the heart beat like you get on the monitors
I'm thinking the same thing as Damian and Paul! It looks more like that than any of these other guesses of "M's" and "W's".... Perhaps some hospital purchased a few of these to give to recovering patients or something???
Patrick, did you ask her where she got it from? I know she didn't know what the symbol was, but, maybe by telling us where this game was purchased, or how it was obtained, could be of some help.
I'm real sorry to hear about this 2 scam stories specially for being 2 respected and known G&W collectors. I know Nintendopilot, bought him twice and he's a trustworthy person, the same as Devster (never had the pleasure to buy from him). I have never been a seller, but i thought that if you sell something and then you immediately transfer the money to your bank account, PayPal can't touch your money anymore, only the money from the PayPal account. Is that right? If not, i understand sellers are real unprotected here.
Yes, hearing of these incidents is really, rather concerning, as it brings to light, the reality of how this can really happen to anyone of us here! (if it already hasn't)
I remember seeing this buyer "snobby-chic" (Faye Atkins or whatever her name is) winning quite a few auctions of G&W stuff, and thinking it was rather weird since for one, she seemed to come out of nowhere, and was dropping some rather big bucks on G&W items, and secondly, and I don't mean to sound sexist here, but, we don't really have many female G&W collectors here, so, to be "new" (as I mentioned, she seemed to come out of nowhere) a female, and dropping thousands of dollars on G&W games seemed kinda suspicious!
Well, no surprise, she's now, "no longer a registered user". There's no way a collector buys all these games and then de-registers their ebay account. I would think she'll be back on ebay under some other ID, and may try this same scam under her new ID, or may sell some of these games she essentially got for "free".
I did see that Ash888 sold a few things to her, (including some expensive items) and appears to not have had any issues, so, I wonder how she determined who she would scam and who she wouldn't???
Jon and Paul, what exactly were the items that you sold to Snobby-chic? We should keep an eye out to see if they re-surface, and either avoid bidding on them, or, if you're "an eye for an eye" type of person, you could always do onto her as she did onto you.....
Pablo, regarding how it works with PayPal when you're a seller, my understanding is that regardless of whether you move the money from PayPal to your own banking account, PayPal can still go in and retrieve it, and if necessary, can also put your account into a negative balance (overdraft) if you've emptied your bank account before they were able to retrieve the money.
They do have "seller protection" and "buyer protection" but, I've only ever used the buyer's protection, twice. And in both cases, I got my money back for items not received.

Hello guys. Strange fact. I'm close to a blister pack of DKII, but a specific one without carton card in the back. The guy told me he got it from his parents in the eighties. They bought it at GB, a Belgian retailer, now Carrefour. Apparently they packed it without the box, folded open with stickers and instruction leaflets. Anyone aware of retailers doing this ? Normaly in Belgium they were all sold boxed in specialist toy shops. I'll keep you informed...

FYI, bought it online at www.fnac.fr for +/- 25€ incl. shipment. Real bargain ! Best book arround. I'm not going to reveal more of the content, unless someone is throwing in a mint Flagman or so ;-)
