Welcome to Mike's Nintendo game&watch board! This board was created for all collectors or anyone interested in Nintendo's lcd handhelds and specifically for those interested in the game&watch series which thrived during the 80s. For any questions regarding this board please email me. Click here to go back to my collection site. Enjoy your stay!
We've discussed this in length a few months ago but we should never forget that there are still sellers out there willing to sell these reproductions. Most of them don't even mention it in their auctions, so be very careful! If you've noticed something that doesn't look right, please mention it in here!
This topic is an effort to list some of the game&watch related sites out there. This is a work in progress and your help is needed so if you know of a site that isn't included in here, let us know!
Links and information on all the latest rare items that have appeared in Ebay or other sites. Only completed auctions are discussed for obvious reasons!
Link. Just a month ago, a
collector discovered this very nice video in Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYjgHLFZMa0 which shows a salesman in a
Nintendo store trying to provide support to customers. The interesting thing about this video is that if you look closely you can
see a few blisterpack games hanging on the back!! Besides the fact that seeing a video of the games in a shop is something unique,
it also tells us when these games appeared in shops because it was created back in 1991! As you can understand, finding similar
games intact after 20 years is something very difficult so whenever you see a game like this very nice donkey kong 2 blisterpack
make sure you grab it as prices won't stay the same after a few years! The end price was 333 pounds which the price one would expect
to pay for such an item nowadays..

Link. Despite the economic
depression and the recent surge in paperwork and box reproductions, prices of game&watch games haven't dropped a bit the last few
months. You can't even find loose games cheap unless you are ready to compromise with items in not so great condition.. This is why
most sellers won't sell collections of games in a single auction and here's an example why. These 15 game&watch games would probably
fetch twice the price this auction fetched if they were sold separately. Nevertheless it was a great discovery for a certain buyer
and who wouldn't be happy with such a purchase - collector or not. The BIN price was 230 euros which is a bargain.

Link. It's a common trend
among companies that sell toys (especially lcd ones but software companies do it too) to repackage them and resell them for budget
prices a few years after their initial release. Nintendo did the same thing with most of the game&watch games, repackaged them in
blisterpacks and sold them in the late 80s, beginning of the 90s. Most multi-screen and wide screen games appeared in this form
probably as an effort to sell remaining stock. This was a good and a bad thing at the same time. It was a good thing for collectors
who can now find the games protected and in great condition and a bad thing because it was too little too late, noone was paying
attention to game&watch games in the 90s - kids were after the gameboy at the time - so only a few of them were sold and are saved
today. Fortunately items like this very rare blisterpack shipping box can still be found if you're patient enough and can be bought
for decent prices as the end price of 225 pounds of this item shows.
