| White Spitball Sparky.. how come? | The existence of this game was unknown to most of us some years ago. Amazingly more than one have surfaced since then and one white crab grab also made an appearance in Ebay! In here, we discuss the reason behind this release and whatever information we can find about it! |
| Game&Watch serial database project | Thanks to Aris and other collectors, a very big serial database project is under way! The purpose of this project is to gather as many serial numbers from game&watch games as possible in order to draw various conclusions on releases, total production numbers etc. If you own any game&watch games please submit your serial numbers in here!! |
| Very nice and rare items Part III | Links and information on all the latest rare items that have appeared in Ebay or other sites. Only completed auctions are discussed for obvious reasons! |

Link. As we all know Nintendo created 60 different
game&watch games (60 different model numbers that is) and for most collectors, collecting all of them isn't so hard or very
expensive, especially in loose form. But deviate a bit from this collecting path and you'll find that there is an amazing wealth of
different and special game&watch releases that are very much worth getting! First of all, there are the localized versions,
videopoche, futuretronic, cgl, pocketsize, etc. but there are also game variations like the white spitball sparky, purple and green
judge, argentinian games etc. One of these very rare variations is presented in here. This may seem like a regular CGL release to
most people but if you look closely on the left side of the game you'll notice a strange logo that looks like a cardiogram.
Unfortunately, we haven't been able to discover much about this game.. This is probably a long stretch but if any of you reading this
knows anything about it, please let us know in the forum! The end price was 111 pounds and for such a rare finding, it's a
bargain!

Link. So, another blisterpack game, eh? Yes, but this
one is a bit special. First and foremost it's the first time we see a climber in sealed blisterpack. Secondly this is a french
release. French blisterpacks differ slightly from the ones sold internationally and the ones sold by MGA in America. The blue
Nintendo card on the back is smaller and the upper part of the blister with the hook is designed differently and it's transparent.
Text on the card is in french also. The interesting fact is that on the back of the blisterpack we can see the games released in
these blisterpack series and they are: parachute, octopus, fire, snoopy tennis, donkey kong jr, mario's cement factory, manhole,
tropical fish, super mario bros, climber (of course), balloon fight, oil panic, donkey kong, green house, donkey kong 2, mario bros,
lifeboat, blackjack(!), squish, bomb sweeper, safebuster, goldcliff, zelda and all micro vs games. Now, wouldn't it be nice if
someone could collect all of them? Anyway, the end price was 278.77 euros.

Link. You've seen games in
blisterpack presented here before but I'm sure you can't recall seeing one with a yellow background! Besides the MGA releases with
the Microgames logo and the other international releases which both had a blue background, there were some additional (rarer)
releases with white and yellow background colours. These don't appear for auction very often and unfortunately we don't know much
about them. There are indications that the yellow ones, like this mario's cement factory you see here were sold in the US by a
company other than microgames during mid 90s but we lack any information on the white ones. Let's hope we find some more about them
in the near future! Unfortunately this blisterpack has been opened before so $300 for it seems to be too much for collectors..
